  • Patent number: 6640711
Abstract: A bridge mandrel includes an inner sleeve assembly comprising the inner laminate and an outer laminate secured on each side of an intermediate hardened foam layer. The inner laminate is of multi-ply form with inner plies of base and adhesive layers separated from outer plies of base and adhesive layers by a compressible foam layer. The adhesive layers are made from high viscosity thermoplastic adhesive material. The intermediate layer is of segmented form with a radial gap between adjacent segments. A header is mounted to each end of the inner sleeve assembly.

  • Patent number: 6401613
Abstract: A printing cylinder sleeve assembly comprises an inner sleeve made of tubular form from a material which is capable of expanding upon the application of air pressure to the inner surface of the inner sleeve. An outer sleeve is mounted over the inner sleeve in a slip fit manner so that the outer sleeve could be mounted over the inner sleeve assembly comprising the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve and the assembly as a unit can then be mounted over the printing cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6095448
Abstract: A microfilm cartridge assembly includes a hollow housing in which a reel is mounted. A bearing surface results from the end of a boss on the reel making contact with a circular seat around a boss on one of the walls of the housing. The housing boss is inserted into the reel boss to provide a second bearing surface between the telescopically arranged bosses.

  • Patent number: 5046727
Abstract: A wrist exercise device includes a hollow shaft which houses a pair of compression springs. Tension disks are provided at the remote ends of the springs. The disks are moved toward and away from each other by turning a tension knob at one end of the device to increase or decrease the resistance from a pair of friction pads on each side of a handle at each end of the device. A resistance indicator is provided at one end of the device.
