Patent number: 11918221Abstract: A surgical clip applier is provided that includes first and second jaws on a distal end of an elongate shaft, a clip advancing assembly extending through the shaft and configured to advance a distal-most clip from a plurality of clips in the shaft into the first and second jaws. The jaws have opposed inward facing surfaces, and each inward facing surface has a clip track defined therein for receiving and guiding legs of a clip into the first and second jaws. The clip track of at least one of the jaws has at least one deflectable clip retention member disposed therein and configured to apply a biasing force to a leg of a clip disposed within the jaws to thereby retain the clip within the jaws and maintain alignment of the clip with respect to the jaws. The clip track of at least one of the jaws may also have at least one recess or protrusion designed to be complementary to and mate with a protrusion or recess in a clip.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2020Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: CILAG GMBH INTERNATIONALInventors: Michael J. Patent number: 11911045Abstract: A method for adjusting control parameters of a clip applier using a surgical hub is disclosed. The method comprises gathering data during a first surgical procedure, evaluating the gathered data to determine the appropriate operation of a clip applier in a subsequent surgical procedure, gathering data during the operation of the clip applier in the subsequent surgical procedure, determining if the operation of the clip applier needs to be adjusted based on the data gathered during the subsequent surgical procedure, and adjusting the operation of the clip applier based on the data gathered during the subsequent surgical procedure.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2018Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: Cllag GmbH InternationalInventors: Frederick E. Patent number: 10378659Abstract: In one aspect, this disclosure relates to a protector sleeve for a frac gate valve. The disclosed protector sleeve prevents frac sand and other particulates from becoming trapped between the seat and the seat pockets. In another aspect, this disclosure relates to a gate valve including the protector sleeve described above. The gate valve may include two protector sleeves, one disposed proximate the contact surfaces of each of the two seats and the two seat pockets.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2017Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: FMC Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Gregory J. Publication number: 20110225464Abstract: A framework is provided for diagnosing and resolving wireless connectivity-related issues. For example, some embodiments of the invention provide a “health monitor” which monitors and logs wireless connectivity-related events occurring on the device, the network, and the one or more resources to which the device is connected. The health monitor may analyze these events and/or other information to determine when a connectivity problem may have arisen, and if a problem is determined to be imminent or to have occurred, may initiate recovery procedures. In some embodiments, the monitoring of events, analysis to determine whether a connectivity problem has arisen, and the recovery from the problem occur transparently to the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2010Publication date: September 15, 2011Applicant: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Shai Guday, Thomas W. Patent number: 5888063Abstract: A method of quick purging beds of a regenerative fume incinerator which is practically applicable for use in 2, 3 and 4 bed incinerators. For a very short purge period near the end of an operating time cycle, the bed being switched from receiving impure gases to discharge of clean gas is purged of impure gases by being supplied with clean gas discharged by the incinerator. The quick purging takes less than 4% of the cycle time and thus inflow of impure gases is stopped for a very brief period when this quick purge method is used in a 2 bed incinerator. When using this quick purge method in a three or four bed regenerative fume incinerator there is always at least one bed receiving impure gases. This quick purge method improves the quality of the discharged clean gas without significant loss of thermal efficiency and without significant reduction in operating capacity.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 1996Date of Patent: March 30, 1999Inventors: Gregory J. Patent number: 5397714Abstract: A bipolar transistor having an improved collector structure includes a buried region of the same conductivity type as the collector region spaced from the base region and having a laterally graded impurity concentration with the lowest below the center of the emitter .region. An integrated circuit may include transistors having the buried collector region of the diminishing lateral impurity concentration below the center of its emitter as well as having transistors with a uniform lateral impurity concentration below the total lateral extent of the emitter. A method of achieving the unique collector region includes forming at least a first collector region of a first conductivity type as two lateral portions of substantially uniform lateral impurity concentration with a space therebetween in a substrate of a second conductivity type and heating to form the buried collector structure of diminishing lateral impurity concentration.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1994Date of Patent: March 14, 1995Assignee: Harris CorporationInventors: Glenn A. DeJong, Gregory J. Scott, Akira Ito
