Abstract: The present disclosure includes a coil protection assembly configured to be incorporated into a piece of sports equipment such as a glove, shin guard, or shoulder pad. The coil protection assembly may include a coil element spiraled to form a plurality of loops. The coil protection assembly may also have a foam layer disposed on the interior surface of the coil element. An outer layer may enclose or encase the coil element and the foam layer with the loops free to move with respect to one another, A strip of liner material may be secured to the outer layer to connect the loop together. The liner material may be an elastic material to allow the loops to move away from each other, yet still retract back to a default position.

The interior hangers are used when packing, storing, and transporting the user's garments. The exterior collapsible and removable rack is employed when the bag is used at an event/competition. This hanging system is an improvement over existing dance bags in two distinct ways: the upright bag design with the interior hangers allows the user to effectively fit, store, and organize their garments while existing bags lack the interior storage and hanging system; and the present bag provides a collapsible and removable rack that is easily set up and inserted into the bag's exterior holders for holding the garments external to the bag when at an event/competition. Existing dance bags with similar racks require a more difficult assembly and the bag must lie horizontal rather than upright.

The sports bag of the present invention integrates optionally removable composite rods into the frame structure of a sports bag to allow for significant flexibility and compression thereof for general transport, storage, shipping and handling purposes, and yet the sports bag is also capable of holding a semi-rigid exterior to a given volume and shape when in regular use. The present invention also discloses a sports equipment bag with a novel folding floor to assist with the flexible and collapsible nature of a sports equipment bag.

Abstract: A pair of leg guards for sports, particularly of the type worn by hockey players under elastic socks, each includes rigid plastic shin and knee guard sections. A thigh guard section is joined continuously to the knee guard section. The shin guard section has front and rear panels. A channel is molded preferably diagonally across the front panel in which a rigid plastic strap protector is affixed. The strap protector has a slot through which a one-piece elastic strap passes to detachably secure the guard to the wearer's leg. The one-piece elastic strap has horizontal and diagonal strap portions which wrap around the back of the knee and lower leg respectively of the wearer and connect to the shin guard section by hook and loop connectors. The rear panel and the inside of the knee guard section are fitted and affixed continuously with a detachable liner for further protection of the wearer's leg and to enhance the life of the guard.
