  • Patent number: 7344351
Abstract: A boom position detecting device that detects a boom angle on a work vehicle for a boom that rotates about a pivot. The device includes a boom angle follower and positional sensor. The boom angle follower includes a spring and a follower arm arranged such that the spring biases the follower arm against a surface of the boom and keeps the follower arm in contact with the boom throughout a rotational movement of the boom about the pivot. The positional sensor is physically connected to the boom angle follower and detects at least one boom angle.

  • Patent number: 7204329
Abstract: An engine air intake system includes an engine air intake device and a plenum cooling compartment that is separate from the engine compartment by a baffle. A fan draws outside ambient air into the plenum cooling compartment and out of the plenum cooling area via a heat exchanger. The cooling compartment is designed such that a distance between the heat exchanger and the baffle provides a gap from which the engine air intake device removes ambient air as a source for engine air. An option is provide for the system to withdraw outside ambient air from an area external to the plenum cooling compartment in high debris environments.

  • Patent number: 6991398
Abstract: A tool coupler comprises a coupler frame and an attachment frame. The attachment frame is provided with two hooks that engage two catches located on the coupler frame. The coupler frame is provided with two locking pins and the attachment frame is provided with two receiving apertures, for locking the coupler frame to the attachment frame. Both locking pins are actuated by a double acting hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder is slidably mounted on the coupler frame. The hydraulic cylinder is provided with a barrel end having the first locking pin and a piston rod having the second locking pin. The coupler frame and the hydraulic cylinder are provided with limiters which limit the sliding movement the piston rod and the barrel end relative to the coupler frame.

  • Patent number: 6957705
Abstract: A Z-bar loader linkage having a floating bell crank. A boom is pivotally mounted to a loader frame at one end and an attachment at the other end. The bell crank is pivotally mounted on leveling links extending forwardly from the loader frame. The drive end of the bell crank is provided with an attachment link that extends from the bell crank to the attachment for controlling the angular position of the attachment. A guide link extends between the attachment link and the boom.

  • Patent number: 6174255
Abstract: An articulated four wheel drive work vehicle is provided with a front axle having a front differential and a rear axle having a rear differential. Both differentials are provided with hydraulically operated differential locks that are coupled to respective solenoid control valves. The solenoid control valves are coupled to a microprocessor. The microprocessor has a manual mode in which the differential locks are controlled by a foot pedal in the operators cab and an automatic mode in which the microprocessor controls the differential locks in response to speed signals from the axles and the transmission. The microprocessor calculates a predicted axle speed based on the transmission output speed signal received by a transmission speed sensor. The microprocessor then compares this signal to the actual axle speed signals received from axle speed sensors and triggers the respective solenoid valve if the difference is greater than a programmed amount.
