  • Publication number: 20210213774
Abstract: A device to be used as tool creating a straightedge for scoring or cutting VCT (vinyl composition tile) or vinyl floor tile, comprising of a triangular plate that has flat and smooth side surface edges to be used as a straightedge guide to draw a utility knife or other apparatus along the edge. On one of the right angle sides of said triangular plate and face, is an elongated bar fence that extends at ninety-degree angle outwardly from said triangular plate and face. An optional T-bar fence constructed as an integral part of the Floor Tile Cutting—Guide extends only a minimal distance and only far enough from the bottom edge in order that the device can lay flat on a floor tile when it is abutted to the edge or laying off to the side of a floor tile.

  • Patent number: 8572915
Abstract: An apparatus is used to cover a wall corner where lengths of cove base meet. One part is a wall adapter. It is composed of a right angle of thin material with one-half of a mechanical mating structure at its outer apex. The other part is a corner cover composed of a right angle of a thicker material with a narrower extent, but taller than the wall adapter. The cove base corner cover provides a unified junction between the two adjacent cove base sides of a corner. The corner cover is initially held correctly in place by being mechanically mated to the wall adapter. Corners may be inside or outside corners. Matings include snap fit, friction fit and a hanging tab and slot. These two types of covers might operate with a common wall adapter, but, of course, are of somewhat complementary shapes. Their right angles face in opposite orientations.

  • Patent number: 7866102
Abstract: Two integrally formed multipurpose devices with the resemblance of an aesthetic pillar hollowed out incorporating a cove element at the lower portion that is preformed to fit over and cover intersecting corners of previously installed cove base used in the flooring industry. The Cove base corner cover provides a unified junction between the two adjacent sides of a corner. This invention also provides an inexpensive, simplistic and productive procedure for installations of inside and outside corners. Precision cuts along with most all of the numerous steps currently being utilized to navigate into or from and around intersecting corners is eliminated. The problems such as, the cove element collapsing into itself as well as the popping of the upper edge associated with wrapping cove base around a corner, is also eliminated and for the most part, frustration and aggravation incurred while facilitating installations at the corners is significantly reduced.

Abstract: Two integrally formed multipurpose devices with the resemblance of an aesthetic pillar hollowed out incorporating a cove element at the lower portion that is preformed to fit over and cover intersecting comers of previously installed cove base used in the flooring industry. The Cove base corner cover provides a unified junction between the two adjacent sides of a corner. This invention also provides an inexpensive, simplistic and productive procedure for installations of inside and outside corners. Precision cuts along with most all of the numerous steps currently being utilized to navigate into or from and around intersecting comers is eliminated.
