Patent number: 6065420Abstract: A portable transducer mount for positioning a transducer in the water forwardly of a barge or other floating vessel, which mount includes an elongated, hollow mount shaft having one end fitted with a mount collar or sleeve and the other end of the mount shaft terminated by a spring and a hollow shaft leg. A pair of collar legs extend from the mount collar to the vessel for removably and adjustably securing the mount shaft to the bow of the vessel. The transducer is mounted on the shaft leg and the spring connecting the mount shaft and the shaft leg is designed to facilitate deflection of the shaft leg and the transducer rearwardly if the transducer or shaft leg strikes a submerged object. Guys or cables attached to eye bolts connected to the mount shaft serve to stabilize the mount shaft in position on the bow of the barge or vessel.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1999Date of Patent: May 23, 2000Inventor: Gregory L. Patent number: 5945932Abstract: A code is embedded into an audio product so as to be processed therewith for recording and/or broadcast and yet be reliably detected while remaining inaudible to human perception. The code is represented by symbols formed from an impulse function having its energy within a specified frequency range. The audio product is analyzed to find segments which can mask the code based on tonality and a minimum signal energy. When the audio product with an embedded code is detected, decoding thereof involves finding candidate code signals which are checked against preset criteria. In particular, each symbol is made of at least two impulse functions with a preset spacing therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1997Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Assignee: Audiotrack CorporationInventors: Gregory L. Patent number: 4826229Abstract: An improved portable cable release mechanism for mounting on the deck of a tow boat, tug, ship or dock and used to tow and dock barges, boats and ships, which mechanism is designed to receive one end of a tow cable or docking cable in order to secure and selectively release the vessels. The cable release mechanism includes a pelican hook pivotally attached to a frame which can be removably mounted on a dock or secured to the deck of a tow boat, ship or barge by means of a clevis plate. A sliding keeper normally secures the pelican hook in closed configuration in the frame and release of a towing or docking cable from the pelican hook is automatically effected by activating an air or hydraulic cylinder having a piston provided in cooperation with the keeper ring. This action extends the cylinder piston and forces the keeper from engagement with the pelican hook, allowing the pelican hook to pivot rearwardly responsive to the load on the cable.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1987Date of Patent: May 2, 1989Inventor: Gregory L.
