  • Patent number: 8840349
Abstract: An adjusting screw configured to be adjustable by multiple different tools is described. An example adjusting screw includes a cylindrical body portion having a first end, a second end, and an outer curved surface. The example adjusting screw also includes a first raised portion on the first end and offset from a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body and a second raised portion on the first end and offset from the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body and opposing the first raised portion. Each of the first and second raised portions is configured to engage a first socket to turn the cylindrical body about the longitudinal axis. Additionally, the first and second raised portions are configured to engage a second socket larger than the first socket to turn the cylindrical body about the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 8485213
Abstract: An example loading regulator having an internal relief valve apparatus includes a body having a loading diaphragm disposed between a first casing and a second casing. The first casing and a first side of the loading diaphragm define a first chamber and the second casing and a second side of the loading diaphragm define a second chamber. A relief valve assembly is coupled to the loading diaphragm. The relief valve assembly includes a relief valve seat having an aperture that forms a passageway to fluidly couple the first chamber and the second chamber and a relief valve plug movably coupled to the relief valve seat. The relief valve seat is to move relative to the relief valve plug to a bleed position to allow the flow of fluid between the first chamber and the second chamber in response to an outlet pressure substantially greater than a pressure at which the loading regulator enters a lock-up condition.

  • Patent number: 8256446
Abstract: Apparatus to configure fluid regulators are described. In one example, a stem guide for use with a fluid regulator is described. The stem guide includes a body having an opening to slidably receive a valve stem and an outer surface having a plurality of circumferential seals that removably couple the body within a bore of a regulator casing and align the body with the regulator casing or a valve.

  • Publication number: 20080256754
Abstract: An adjusting screw configured to be adjustable by multiple different tools is described. An example adjusting screw includes a cylindrical body portion having a first end, a second end, and an outer curved surface. At least a portion of the outer curved surface has threads to engage an internally threaded opening. • Patent number: 5697398
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a diaphragm assembly for a fluid pressure regulator includes the steps of providing a diaphragm head unit having a first side and a spring seat, providing a fabric layer, providing an elastomer layer, applying an adhesive to the first side of the diaphragm head unit, placing the fabric layer between the elastomer layer and the first side of the diaphragm heat unit to form a sandwich, and applying heat and pressure to the sandwich. In a fluid pressure regulator including a disk for regulating the flow of fluid through an orifice, a valve stem attached to the disk, a valve stem guide surrounding a portion of the stem, a valve lever coupled to the valve stem, a pivot pin pivotally connecting the valve lever to a lower casing, a lever retainer adjacent the pivot pin for holding the pivot pin in place, and a boost tube adjacent the orifice, the boost tube, stem guide, and lever retainer comprise a one-piece boost tube unit.
