  • Patent number: 12283130
Abstract: A method includes receiving a first sequence of images of a first subject captured over a time period in which relative locations of the image acquisition device with respect to the first subject varies. A first image and a second image are selected as representing a first and second relative locations, respectively, of the image acquisition device with respect to the first subject. A first set of points and a second set of points are generated in a three-dimensional space, using the first image and the second image as a stereo pair, the first and second sets of points representing the first subject, and a background, respectively. It is determined that a difference between a first depth associated with the first set of points, and a second depth associated with the second set of points satisfies a threshold condition, and in response, access to a secure system is prevented.

  • Patent number: 12263547
Abstract: A method for automated device disassembly includes, at a computerized demanufacturing system, receiving a target electronic device for disassembly. Using a set of one or more sensors of the computerized demanufacturing system, a set of sensor data is collected that quantifies one or more physical properties of the target electronic device. Based at least in part on the set of sensor data, correspondences are identified between one or more effectors of the computerized demanufacturing system and one or more interactable elements of the target electronic device. The interactable elements are automatically manipulated using the one or more effectors to at least partially disassemble the target electronic device.

  • Patent number: 12244618
Abstract: A URL velocity monitor is integrated with a message-hold decision maker of an electronic mail processing system that processes electronic messages for a protected computer network. The URL velocity monitor receives or obtains a URL, decomposes the URL into URL features based on logical boundaries, and determines features of interest from the URL features for velocity tracking. Examples of URL features can include a randomized URL segment. The velocity of each feature of interest is tracked over a period of time using a counting algorithm that employs a slow counter or a fast counter. The two different counters track two types of velocities which represent different domain behaviors targeting the protected computer network. The URL velocity monitor determines whether the velocity of a feature of interest is accelerating within the time period. If so, the URL is placed in a queue or a sandbox.

  • Publication number: 20240425224
Abstract: A maritime dewatering pump container having an auxiliary function as a storage spill kit. The container is made from fiberglass and provides a base and a lid, wherein the base defines a compartment dimensioned and shaped to house a maritime dewatering pump. A bottom of the base may be reinforced with oriented salt-treated strand board. An upper portion of the base has an opening providing access to the compartment. A periphery of the base opening provides a water-resistant seal that engages a periphery of the lid. First clamping mechanisms along of the lid periphery operatively associate with second claiming mechanisms downward of the opening periphery so as to selectively urge the water-resistant sealing when the lid is in a closed condition relative to the base.

  • Publication number: 20240364733
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing a threat analysis platform capable of automating actions performed to analyze security-related threats affecting IT environments. Users or applications can submit objects (e.g., URLs, files, etc.) for analysis by the threat analysis platform. Once submitted, the threat analysis platform routes the objects to dedicated engines that can perform static and dynamic analysis processes to determine a likelihood that an object is associated with malicious activity such as phishing attacks, malware, or other types of security threats.

  • Publication number: 20240281512
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for a biometric authentication system. In one aspect, a method includes identifying a target user in proximity to a kiosk. Data for the target user is gathered from equipment on and in proximity to the kiosk. The gathered data is processed to generate a feature vector. The feature vector includes at least motion characteristics of the target user as the target user approaches the kiosk and touch input characteristics of the target user at the kiosk. A candidate user to compare to the target user is determined. Reference data for the candidate user is retrieved. The feature vector is compared to the reference data for the candidate user to determine a likelihood that the target user is the candidate user. A kiosk application is customized for the target user based on the determined likelihood.

  • Patent number: 12059747
Abstract: A gas mixing apparatus for a laser cutter and a laser cutter including that apparatus. The mixing apparatus includes a housing defining a chamber, first and second inlet ports opening into the chamber at an obtuse angle to each other, and an outlet port. A hollow lance mounted in the first inlet port conducts a first gas into the chamber. In some embodiments, a gas sensor is in fluid communication with the chamber; and an adjustable pressure regulator is responsive to the gas sensor and is in fluid communication with the first inlet port to control the first gas as it mixes with a second gas flowing into the chamber through the second inlet port to maintain a predetermined ratio of the first gas to the second gas and thereby provide an assist gas. In some applications, a laser cutting head is in fluid communication with the output port to receive the assist gas.

  • Patent number: 12058107
Abstract: A message-hold decision maker system used with an electronic mail processing system that processes electronic messages for a protected computer network improves the electronic mail processing system's performance by increasing the throughput performance of the system. The improvements are achieved by providing an electronic mail processing gateway with additional logic that makes fast and intelligent decisions on whether to hold, block, allow, or sandbox electronic messages in view of potential threats such as viruses or URL-based threats. A message hold decision maker uses current and stored information from a plurality of specialized classification engines to quickly make the decisions. In some examples, the message hold decision maker will instruct an email gateway to hold an electronic mail message while the classification engines perform further analysis.

  • Publication number: 20240257365
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device may obtain a user-free first image of a background portion of a physical environment including a deterministic object. The device may then locate the deterministic object in a second image of the physical environment. The device may then generate, based on the deterministic object, an alignment between the user-free first image and the second image. The device may then use the alignment for background removal in subsequent images of the physical environment.

  • Patent number: 12050199
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein. In an example embodiment, a glass-break detector is provided. Glass-break detector includes a speaker and a microphone in sound communication with the glass and is configured to perform an echo signature procedure to generate a baseline echo signature. The echo signature procedure includes: causing the speaker to transmit an ultrasonic signal onto the surface of the glass, causing the microphone to measure sound wave amplitudes on the surface of the glass, and generating an echo signature based on the sound wave amplitudes. Glass-break detector is configured to repeat the echo signature procedure to generate a test echo signature and detect a break in the glass based at least on the baseline echo signature and the test echo signature.
