  • Patent number: 9283479
Abstract: A method is described for providing advertisements on a mobile device. The method includes monitoring tactile input from a user, providing a game comprising identifiable game pieces on a playing surface, and displaying an advertisement adjacent to the playing surface. Play of the game is initiated based upon the monitored tactile input from the user. One or more of the plurality of identifiable game pieces is associated to a prize based upon input from a random number generator. A user is able to select a game piece from the plurality of game pieces in an attempt to select the game piece associated with the prize. Upon selection of the associated game piece, the user is awarded the prize. By requiring shaking of the mobile device to initiate a game the user is more engaged in game play, better retaining focus to the game and advertisement.

  • Patent number: 8025671
Abstract: Described herein is a threading device that includes an elongated rod having first and second opposite ends, and a suture having first and second opposite ends. The first end of the suture is associated with the rod. The rod is at least partially covered with a coating that secures the first end of the suture to the rod. The second end of the suture extends outside the coating. This provides a threading rod having a suture permanently attached thereto.

  • Publication number: 20080075537
Abstract: A novel method of degrading, sequestering and/or immobilizing chemical contaminants in soil, sediment, or water is provided. The method comprises the addition of a sufficient amount of permanganate modified with a sufficient amount of an activator so as to destroy, sequester, and/or immobilize a detectable amount of the contaminants. In one aspect of the present invention, the permanganate and activator form a barrier or coating, composed of manganese oxides and components of the activator(s) that at least partially encapsulates a portion of the contaminant to minimize or prevent migration and/or dissolution of the contaminant. This encapsulation occurs via physical encrustation. The in situ remediation reagents of the present invention can be added to many contaminated environments including soil, sediment, rock, clay, water/groundwater and/or non-aqueous phase liquids.

  • Publication number: 20060019193
Abstract: A process of producing a relief image printing plate, the process comprising the steps of providing a photosensitive printing element, quenching dissolved oxygen in the photosensitive resin layer by pre-exposing the photosensitive layer to one or more sources of actinic radiation, wherein the range of wavelengths spanned by the one or more sources of actinic radiation differs by no more than about 20 nm, and imagewise exposing the photosensitive resin layer to actinic radiation to crosslink and cure the photosensitive resin layer. The photosensitive composition typically comprises at least one photoinitiator that is present in the photosensitive composition in an amount sufficient to provide an optical density in the photosensitive composition of between about 0.05 and 0.43 at a wavelength used to pre-expose the photosensitive composition.

  • Publication number: 20050266358
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of selectively pre-exposing a photosensitive printing element prior to imagewise exposure in order to remove oxygen from the photosensitive layer prior to imagewise exposure. The invention is usable in a computer-to-plate process to produce flexographic relief image printing elements.

  • Patent number: 6945205
Abstract: An internal-combustion engine with a hydraulic device (1) for rotation angle adjustment of a camshaft (2) relative to a crankshaft is provided and includes a rotor with an impeller form (7), which is rotationally fixed via a central fastener (6) to the camshaft, and a stator (4), which rotates synchronously with a drive wheel (3) driven by the crankshaft, wherein on both sides of the impeller blades of the rotor, there are pressure chambers, which are each limited by radial walls of the stator (4) and can be filled with and emptied of hydraulic fluid via a hydraulic system, wherein the hydraulic fluid is guided, on one hand, via an annular gap (13) between rotor (7) and the central fastener (6) and, on the other hand, through generally axial and radial channels into the pressure chambers.

  • Publication number: 20050173815
Abstract: A carburetor for an internal combustion engine having a body that fastens at a first end to an air filter and at a second end to the intake port of a cylinder head. The body has an intake bore formed in the first end that receives air from the air filter, a throttle bore formed in the second end that provides a fuel/air mixture to the intake port, and a venturi formed between the intake bore and the throttle bore that receives air from the intake bore, provides fuel to form a fuel/air mixture, and provides the fuel/air mixture to the throttle bore. A bore is formed in the body from the venturi and receives a nozzle that communicates fuel to the venturi. A fuel enrichment system, which is responsive to the vibration of the engine, has a passage that communicates air from the intake bore, through the passage, to the nozzle. A valve seat is disposed within the passage and also has a passage to allow the flow of air therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20030140126
Abstract: A method of executing plural versions of business process management software on plural integration servers. A plurality of components are defined. The components can include executable process logic of a business process and at least one port defining a standard representation of an external interface of said component. Connections between ports of desired components are also defined. The components and connections are stored in a repository as a set objects and the set of objects is loaded as a first version in a first runtime environment by configuring run time properties of the set of the objects. After modification of the set of objects, the modified set can be loaded as a second on a second server by configuring run time properties of the set of the objects as modified.
