    Abstract: A furnace configuration is disclosed in which the furnace is inductively heated by external insulated coils and a susceptor is placed within the charge of reactants away from the outer surfaces of the charge. Consequently, heat is transferred to the charge and the process approaches completion before the insulation is subjected to high temperatures.
