Abstract: A lift for a vehicle includes a platform configured to support an occupant thereon, a parallelogram mechanism to move the platform between a stowed position and a deployed position, a base to mount the parallelogram mechanism to a vehicle floor, a hydraulic system to move the platform through the parallelogram mechanism, a mechanism to fold and unfold the platform, an occupant retention device, a control unit to control a movement of the platform. The occupant retention device can include any one of a belt, a bridgeplate and a roll stop. The lift can also include a platform movement control device that can be provided as an acoustic sensor array, a bridgeplate lock and a platform stow lock. A light assembly can be mounted on the platform as a visual warning of the platform operation. The power connection to the control unit can include an encapsulated decouplable power interface.

Abstract: An air particle demonstration housing is used determine and compare air quality to ultraviolet (UV) treated air. The housing may utilize UV germicidal lamps in order to demonstrate the improvement that the UV lamp has on the air quality. First, the air quality within the building may be detected using a particle counter. Then air may be vacuumed into the box and treated with the UV lamps. The treated air from the box may be detected using a particle counter and compared with the untreated air quality.

Abstract: An approach is provided for determining a request from a user for an access to at least one user group. The at least one user group is associated with at least one reference location. Consequently, the point of interest platform determines location information associated with the user and/or the device associated with the user. Subsequently, the point of interest platform causes, at least in part, a granting of the access to the user group if the location information indicates that the user and/or the device associated with the user is within a predetermined proximity of the reference location.

One or more host names are determined based on a domain name portion of the account identifier. The one or more host names need not be preconfigured on the user device. Connections are attempted with each of the one or more host names. Each of the connection attempts uses one or more application protocols associated with a type of the network account. It is determined that at least one of the connection attempts results in a successful connection, and a user account is configured on the user device based on a host and protocol combination associated with the successful connection.

If the service is associated with the service feature of the network operator, then data that indicates the service feature of the network operator is inserted into the view. The view is provided for transmission over the network.

Abstract: A dehumidifier is used for restoring a water damaged electronic device. The dehumidifier comprises a sealable watertight container having a wall with an inside surface. The container has an interior chamber, and an open end. The open end has a releasable seal. The wall has an anti-static property, which prevents electrostatic charges from damaging the electronic device. The wall is a moisture barrier. The interior chamber is large enough to receive the electronic device. A desiccant material is placed within a water vapor-permeable enclosure, which is disposed within the interior chamber. The desiccant material is a hydrophilic material such as silica gel, calcium carbonate, molecular sieve, activated clay, or alumina. The container wall is generally transparent. A humidity indicator is placed within the interior chamber. An optional heater is placed within the interior chamber.
