  • Publication number: 20240165277
Abstract: A method for preparing a complex comprising a radioisotope of gallium for use in radiotherapy or in a medical imaging procedure, said method comprising adding a gallium radioisotope solution obtained directly from a gallium radionuclide generator to a composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable buffer and optionally also a pharmaceutically acceptable basic reagent, in amounts sufficient to increase the pH to a level in the range of 3 to 8, wherein the composition further comprises a chelator that is able to chelate radioactive gallium within said pH range and at moderate temperature, said chelator being optionally linked to a biological targeting agent. Kits and compositions for use in the method are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20120251446
Abstract: Bioconjugates for use in imaging are disclosed include a linker sequence fused to a polypeptide capable of binding a target in a biological system. The linker sequence is designed so that it is capable of being radiolabelled, e.g. with a complex comprising a radionuclide, via a free cysteine residue and the polyhistidine sequence in the label that are both capable of simultaneously binding to a complex comprising the radionuclide. These interactions can improve significantly the rate and efficiency of radiolabelling compared to either protein with the His-tag or the free cysteine alone. Optionally, the free cysteine residue provides a site which can be covalently bonded to a moiety such as a second label, in a site-specific manner.

  • Patent number: 6933262
Abstract: A method for producing a precursor polymer dispersion for addition to a brine for use in drilling and completion operations comprising providing a precursor brine having a first salt content, and mixing a water-soluble polymer with the precursor brine at a sufficient concentration and under conditions sufficient to produce a precursor polymer dispersion effective at a sufficient concentration in a final brine having a second salt content to improve the rheology and/or fluid loss control properties of the final brine.

  • Patent number: 6248698
Abstract: A silicate drilling fluid having effective rheology and filtration control properties comprising water as a continuous phase wherein hematite is used as a weighting agent and manganese oxide is used as a bridging agent. The drilling fluids uses a minimal number of components, which includes a salt, preferably sodium chloride, water-soluble polymers for viscosification and filtration control, and a glycol for shale stabilization and filtration control.
