Patent number: 11913123Abstract: A cathodic protection device enclosing a reference cell and a conductive media and having two coupon assemblies mounted, facing opposing direction, on an exterior surface thereof is disclosed. The coupon assemblies each have a disc-shaped coupon seated in a coupon jacket and are electrically coupled to a wire. The coupon jacket is formed from a blank having a first surface and an opposing second. A pocket as a recess is machined into the first surface, a groove is machined into the opposing second surface and an aperture is machined through the bottom of the pocket and opens into the groove. A disc-shaped coupon assembly was threaded through the pocket and aperture to seat the disc-shaped coupon in the pocket and a wire in the groove with the electrical junction therebetween aligned with the aperture.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2020Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: APS Materials, Inc.Inventor: Gregory P. Patent number: 10648088Abstract: A cathodic protection device enclosing a reference cell and a conductive media and having two coupon assemblies mounted, facing opposing direction, on an exterior surface thereof is disclosed. The coupon assemblies each have a disc-shaped coupon seated in a jacket and are electrically coupled to a wire. The jacket is generally patch-sized and defines a pocket in a first surface and a groove in a second, opposing surface thereof. The disc-shaped coupon is seated in the pocket and the wire is seated in the groove with the electrical junction therebetween aligned with an aperture connecting the pocket to the groove. A sealing material is used to form a watertight seal between the disc-shaped coupon and the pocket and fills the groove. Patent number: 9665833Abstract: A system and method for providing collaboration communities in a computer portal environment. The system comprises a community portal tool for creating community portals, portal applications, or portal web applications. In one embodiment, the portal can be one of a number of enterprise applications on server software. The portal can include a community context that can have an indication of members of the community. The indication can be, for example, a list of the members or pointer to a list of members. The community portal can be constructed from portal elements and the community context. The community portal tool can also be used to select a community portal template from a portal component library. The template can include standard elements from the construction of a community portal. A standardized look and feel, layout, and components such as a calendars can be in a community template.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2006Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONInventors: Gregory P. Patent number: 4777581Abstract: The performance of the cycloconverter when used to drive an induction motor is at present limited because of inadequate methods of modulating the thyristor conduction angles. The main problems are: low maximum frequency due to subharmonics; voltage distortion due to discontinuous current and to uncertainty of current cross-over (for non-circulating current mode); and poor power factor on the input. This specification describes a modulation method which overcomes the first two of these problems without sacrificing performance in any area and proposes a new method to greatly improve the input power factor, although at the expense of possible input current subharmonics. A non-limiting application of the method to a 3 pulse, 3 phase, non-circulating current cycloconverter is described. The technique may also be applied to static power frequency changers other than the cycloconverter.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1987Date of Patent: October 11, 1988Inventor: Gregory P. Smith
