  • Publication number: 20130237511
Abstract: Methods for utilizing copper ions to bind to and help transport medicinal agents that contain a nitrogen atom or atoms are disclosed. The copper ion or ions serve as a delivery platform for a known pharmaceutical agent. The copper ions may be used to impact the polarity of the medicinal agents so they perform more efficiently in a physiological environment. The copper ions may also improve the efficacy of the drug by impacting their stability.

  • Publication number: 20100329258
Abstract: A method of dynamically enabling MPLS stations and ports using an ARP database is disclosed. The method of dynamically enabling MPLS stations and ports using an ARP database includes augmenting an ARP database with labels distributed via Label Distribution Protocol. The augmented ARP database includes for each ARP entry a list of labels that were advertised to an immediate neighbour. Subsequent use of the ARP database allows for automatic enabling/disabling of MPLS stations and allows labels to be used only on the appropriate ports as advertised to immediate neighbours. The method of dynamically enabling MPLS stations and ports using an ARP database is particularly useful for restricting ports and labels for security purposes, and to automatically provide configuration updates in a timely manner.

  • Publication number: 20100332516
Abstract: A method of linking inner and outer MPLS labels to provide enhanced security is disclosed. The method of linking inner and outer MPLS labels to provide enhanced security includes provisioning both an outer label database with reference keys. The outer label database entry provides a key that must be used in conjunction with the inner label database lookup to realize appropriate actions. As the provided key is not publically accessible an additional increment of security is provided. The method of linking inner and outer MPLS labels to provide enhance security is particularly useful blocking malicious packets from being sent into a remote VLAN or VFI.

  • Patent number: 7706302
Abstract: A routing device and associated method for allocating the nodes of a multi-way trie of a forwarding routing table between two or more memory devices is disclosed. In the preferred embodiment, the routing device comprises a routing table for storing a plurality of routes in a multiway trie in a first memory for caching a first set of the plurality of trie nodes and a second memory for caching a second set of the plurality of trie nodes; and a route manager adapted to relocate one or more nodes of the second set from the second memory to the first memory such that the a utilization count for each of the nodes of the first memory is higher than each of the nodes of the second memory.

  • Patent number: 7512122
Abstract: A multivariant, common basis classification method and apparatus for classifying protocol data units in a network switching device is disclosed. The method of classifying a protocol data unit (PDU) in the preferred embodiment includes the steps of generating a first string and a second string with which to characterize a PDU; mapping first and second strings into a first index and second index, respectively, where the first and second indices are selected from a plurality of indices; and selecting an instruction to apply to the PDU by matching the first and second indices. The plurality of strings are commonly generated from the source and destination address in the packet as well as other indicia with which to identify a traffic flow. The instructions specify how to classify, route, switch, or otherwise process the PDU.

  • Publication number: 20070145182
Abstract: A takeoff assist device for an air vehicle, such as an unmanned air vehicle is provided. The device features an electric motor and is much less complex and lighter than takeoff assist devices heretofore known. A body member is shaped to fit to a portion of the air vehicle. The body member defines a housing in which the majority of the components are housed, including the electric motor, a motor controller, an electrical power source and a main controller. A propeller is attached to a shaft of the electric motor outside of the housing and rotates with a shaft of the electric motor. In addition, there is a latch mechanism that removeably attaches the body member to the host air vehicle for takeoff, and then is controlled to release from the air vehicle after it is airborne at a desired airspeed and altitude.

  • Publication number: 20070064615
Abstract: Methods and systems for digital to analog conversion are provided. In one embodiment, a system for observing data of interest communicated within a data stream is provided. The system comprises means for monitoring a stream of data packets, wherein one or more data packets of the stream of data packets contain a data value of interest from a specific data source; means for converting the data value of interest into an analog signal, wherein the analog signal is representative of the data value of interest, wherein the means for converting is responsive to the means for monitoring a stream of data packets; and means for observing the one or more analog signals to determine the affects of one or more data processing operations on the data of interest, wherein the means for observing is responsive to the means for converting.
