Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are disclosed for implementing enhanced expertise and evidence based decision making in knowledge-based applications. Expertise and evidence based decision making operations include differentiating between an average user and an expert user, and using real time feedback from expert users to update and embed expert knowledge into a predefined baseline command sequence model for a given task or problem.

Abstract: A method of operating an articulatable surgical instrument. The method includes providing a rotary drive motion to a rotary drive member of a surgical end effector and converting the rotary drive motion to an upper axial motion and a lower axial motion at locations that are distal to the articulation joint. The method further includes applying the upper axial motion to an upper portion of a firing member and applying the lower axial motion to a lower portion of the firing member such that the upper axial motion and lower axial motion drives the firing member distally through the surgical end effector from a starting position to an ending position.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method implemented by a task mining engine. The task mining engine is stored as processor executable code on a memory. The processor executable code is executed by a processor that is communicatively coupled to the memory. The method includes receiving recorded tasks identifying user activity with respect to a computing environment and clustering the recorded user tasks into steps by processing and scoring each recorded user task. The method also includes extracting step sequences that identify similar combinations or repeated combinations of the steps to mimic the user activity.

Abstract: Hybrid use of dual policies is provided to improve a communication system. In a multiple access scenario, when an inactive user equipment (UE) transitions to an active state, it may be become a burden to a radio cell on which it was previously camping. In some embodiments, hybrid load balancing is provided using a hierarchical machine learning paradigm based on reinforcement learning in which an LSTM generates a goal for one policy influencing cell reselection so that another policy influencing handover over active UEs can be assisted. The communication system as influenced by the policies is modeled as a Markov decision process (MDP). The policies controlling the active UEs and inactive UEs are coupled, and measureable system characteristics are improved. In some embodiments, policy actions depend at least in part on energy saving.

The document template comprising a document image and a plurality of data fields. The print command object receives a content message which comprises a plurality of data elements. The print command object creates a binary object representing a print command file. The print command file includes data and print system commands representing the document image template with the data fields populated with data elements from the content message. The binary object is provided to the remote client. The print control executable, operating on the remote client, receives the binary object into volatile memory send passes the print command file to the print system for document generation.

Abstract: A system for interfacing with an application server and generating a print command file for secure download and printing of a document at a remote client comprises image template storage, binary object storage, a print command object, and a return object. A plurality of document templates are stored in the image template storage. Each document template comprises a document pattern and a plurality of data fields. The invoice file comprises a line value representing an amount payable by the customer for a product provided by the vendor, a tax value representing an amount payable as a tax on the product, and a fee value representing an amount payable as a fee on the product. An application server provides for receiving a request to adjust the line value from the customer, providing instructions to replace the line value with an adjusted line value, calculating an adjusted tax value and an adjusted fee value based on the adjusted line value, and providing instructions to replace the tax value with the adjusted tax value. Where appropriate, flat fee adjustments are also made.
