Abstract: A gaming apparatus is provided that has a display unit capable of generating video images, an input device and a controller operatively coupled to the display unit and input device. The controller has a processor and a memory operatively coupled to the processor. A network interface may be operatively coupled to a network and to the controller. The controller may be programmed to allow the user to: play a game, access the network, view additional data on the display, input player data into the gaming unit, create a player card, input an event bet slip and select additional information on the event underlying the bet for viewing.
