  • Publication number: 20240084316
Abstract: Provided herein include methods and compositions for effecting a targeted genetic change in DNA in a cell. Certain aspects and embodiments relate to improving the efficiency of the targeting of modifications to specific locations in genomic or other nucleotide sequences. As described herein, nucleic acids which direct specific changes to the genome may be combined with various approaches to enhance the availability of components of the natural repair systems present in the cells being targeted for modification.

  • Publication number: 20190114576
Abstract: Described are platforms, systems, media, and methods for maintaining a database of items associated with one or more skill requirements and a visit duration; maintaining a database of experts associated with one or more skill proficiencies, a location, and a schedule; receiving a request from a consumer for delivery by an expert of one or more items in the database to a consumer address; identifying experts in the database having skill proficiencies matching the skill requirements of the one or more items and available in a timeslot for the visit duration of the one or more items; presenting timeslots for which one or more experts are identified to the consumer and allowing the consumer to select a timeslot; and selecting an expert from among the identified experts in the selected timeslot based on shortest travel time; provided that utilization of the selected expert exceeds a predetermined utilization threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070205121
Abstract: A robust Transportable Voice and Data Communication Kit accommodating mobile Cellular and Satellite Telephone devices in conjunction enclosed in a protective container that is not significantly larger that the contents it encloses. The carry handle and light weight, compact features enable solo portability. The carry case container is composed of in combination, textile, vinyl, rubber, leather type materials, or polyurethane with positive buoyancy, water, dust, shock and vibration resistant properties. Means to monitor either outside the closed case or inside when the case is open, moisture levels, internal back up battery, external power or Solar Power levels and internal or external antenna transmission and reception levels. Antenna positioning is equally efficient via positioning inside or outside the unit.

  • Publication number: 20050223441
Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention provides potato tubers that each include water-soluble protein at a concentration of at least 5 mg/ml. Some potato tubers of the invention include an exogenous nucleic acid molecule that encodes a systemin molecule, or a prosystemin molecule, that is expressed in the potato tubers, whereby the synthesis of at least one water-soluble protein is induced by the expressed systemin molecule (or the systemin molecule derived from processed prosystemin). In another aspect, the present invention provides methods for increasing the amount of water-soluble protein in a potato tuber.
