  • Publication number: 20050132265
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for controlling events related to presentations delivered over one or more networks. Video of a presentation is started and a phone call is made by the presenter. A live editor program pushes events as the presenter is speaking. These events are synchronized to the presentation. If synched in real time, the events are sent from live event servers directly to end viewers in real time. The end users are listening to the presentation on the conference call, and viewing the presentation on the web at the same time. The web page is updated in real time as events happen.

  • Publication number: 20020091840
Abstract: A client-side apparatus and method for handling media capable of being provided by a plurality of provider computer systems to a client computer. A client-side sniffer module determines capabilities of the client computer related to handling the media. A first provider computer system is selected based upon the determined capabilities of the client computer, and a network connection is established so that the selected first provider computer system may provide the media to the client computer. A client-side metrics calculator module examines a connection characteristic of the network connection. A client-side stream switcher module ceases delivery of the media from the first computer provider based upon the examined connection characteristic satisfying a preselected criterion, and selects a second computer provider to deliver the remaining portion of the media to the client computer.

  • Publication number: 20020083091
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for integrating video data with a document object that includes document elements. The video data is synchronized with at least one of the document elements so as to form at least one synchronization association. The synchronization association interrelates an activity of the video data with an activity of the document object. A synchronization file is generated that includes the synchronization association. The synchronization file is associated with the video data so that the activity involving the video data appears on a computer-human display as integrated with the document object.
