  • Patent number: 9424742
Abstract: Various methods and systems are directed to a meter alert system that provides surveillance of meters and other components of a utility system. The meter alert system obtains, via a user interface, specification of one or more meter conditions among a list of meter conditions. The meter alert system generates a rule for a utility metering device according to the meter conditions, wherein the rule is associated with a utility metering device identifier of the utility metering device. The meter system executes the rule, wherein an execution of the rule generates an alert in response to at least one of the first meter condition being satisfied or the second meter condition being satisfied. The meter alert system transmits a notification message in response to the alert being generated.

  • Patent number: 9224128
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating data synchronization in a utility computing environment. A data synchronization application can monitor source systems in such an environment and generate periodic change sets that correspond to data that has changed in the various source systems. Destination systems can subscribe to change sets and receive the appropriate change sets by monitoring flags that the data synchronization application can set. Various classes of change sets that correspond to data within a particular change set can also be generated.

  • Patent number: 8478714
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for communicating with an integrated distribution management system (IDMS). An IDMS often employs a communications protocol that is incompatible with a service oriented architecture. Accordingly, embodiments of the disclosure can allow utility computing systems in a service oriented architecture or in a messaging based environment to communicate with an IDMS.

  • Publication number: 20120109663
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for validating and filtering events related to an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployment. Events received from a vendor supplied AMI head-end can be validated by an AMI event filtering application, which can then store the validated event in a data store. The AMI event filtering application can also generate and publish destination filtered and/or composite events based at least upon destination filters and/or composite events defined in the data store. Subscribing systems can receive the destination filtered and/or composite events.

  • Publication number: 20110270910
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a dynamic work queue for applications. A message queue is included in a data store accessible to one or more computing devices. One or more network pages are generated in the one or more computing devices indicating which ones of multiple services are configured to obtain and process messages for an application from the queue. Each of the services is executed on a respective one of multiple servers. A request is obtained from a client to configure one or more of the services to obtain and process messages for the application from the queue. The one or more of the services are configured to obtain and process messages for the application from the queue in response to the request.
