Abstract: A cooking exhaust hood system, that has an exhaust hood adapted to be located over at least one cooking appliance and an exhaust fan connected to the exhaust hood, with the exhaust fan having a controllable exhaust air flow volume. A camera monitors a surface of the at least one cooking appliance and provide an image signal representing a visual status of the at least one cooking appliance. An image processing controller is connected to an image database and is configured to receive the image signal and to compare the visual status of the at least one cooking appliance based on the image signal to stored images in the image database. The image processing controller then output a cooking appliance status signal. An exhaust fan controller is provided that is connected to the exhaust fan. The exhaust fan controller is configured to receive the cooking appliance status signal and adjusts the exhaust fan accordingly.

The LV arrangement is adapted to also generally heat an entire powder bed, or targeted areas of the bed, to just below melting temperature.

Abstract: A method of cosmetically altering a fiberglass piece comprising having a graphical element disposed on a layer of textile fabric. An outer layer of a curable gel-coat is applied to a mold for the cosmetically altered fiberglass piece. At least one intermediate layer of textile is then applied over the outer layer, the textile comprising a graphical element disposed adjacent to the outer layer. An inner layer is then applied to the intermediate layer, the inner layer providing structural support to the fiberglass piece. A bonding agent is then applied to wet out the outer layer, the intermediate layer, and the inner layer, thereby resulting in an assembly of a wet out three-layer combination, the curing of which results in the cosmetically altered fiberglass piece.

Abstract: A cosmetically altered fiberglass piece having an outer layer of curable gel-coat, an intermediate layer of textile fabric having a graphical element depicted thereon, and an inner layer of composite. A resin or epoxy is used to bond the layers to form the cosmetically altered fiberglass piece. Introduction of resin or epoxy is performed through one of a manual application, a vacuum infusion, or light RTM.

Abstract: A semi-rigid stator is provided for a helical gear device. The stator includes a stack of rigid rings, a deformable layer, and a rigid housing. Each of the rigid rings has a central opening and an exterior surface. The rigid rings are aligned along a common centerline and rotated slightly relative to each other such that the stack of rigid rings forms a helically convoluted chamber. Each of the rigid rings is secured within the rigid stator housing by the deformable layer disposed between the exterior surface of each of the rigid rings and the rigid housing. The deformable layer bonds the rigid rings together as the ring stack and permits movement of the rigid rings relative to each other.

Abstract: A compute server of a distributed cloud computing network receives a request for an object that is to be handled by an object worker, where the object worker includes a single instantiation of a piece of code that solely controls reading/writing to the object. The object worker is instantiated at the compute server. The compute server enforces an access policy to determine whether the request is allowed to be processed by the object worker. If the request is allowed to be processed by the object worker, the object worker processes the request. If the request is not allowed to be processed by the object worker, the request is blocked.

Abstract: A compute server of a distributed cloud computing network receives a request for an object that is to be handled by an object worker, where the object worker includes a single instantiation of a piece of code that solely controls reading/writing to the object. Policies are accessed that are applicable for processing the object. If the policies do not allow the object worker to be instantiated on the compute server, the object worker will not be instantiated and the request will not be processed at that compute server. If the policies allow the object worker to be instantiated on the compute server, the object worker is instantiated and the request is processed.

Abstract: An apparatus for generating medical isotopes provides an annular fissile solution vessel surrounding a neutron generator. The annular fissile solution vessel provides for good capture of the emitted neutrons and a geometry that provides enhanced stability in an aqueous reactor. A neutron multiplier and/or a neutron moderator may be used to improve the efficiency and control the criticality of the reaction in the annular fissile solution vessel.

Abstract: An electrical floor box includes a body having an open top and defining an interior therewithin, a cover flange configured to be mounted on the open top of the body, a cover assembly connected to the cover flange such that it is repositionable between open and closed positions, and a light source assembly arranged within the electrical floor box. The light source assembly includes a magnet attached to a bottom surface of the cover assembly, a magnet reed switch installed on the cover flange, a LED light electrically connected to the magnetic reed switch, and a wiring tunnel configured to hold the LED light therewithin. When the cover assembly is in the open position, the magnet disengages with the magnet reed switch such that the LED light illuminates the interior of the electrical floor box.
