  • Patent number: 11708034
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof rack assembly according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, side rails of a roof rack. The side rails each extend longitudinally from a first end portion to a second end portion. The assembly also includes crossbars of the roof rack. The roof rack is configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration, In the first configuration, the first end portions of the side rails are each coupled to a corner. In the second configuration, the first end portions of the side rails are each coupled to a rail extender.

  • Patent number: 10773635
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to systems and methods for automatically controlling various lights of a vehicle. The systems and methods are configured to determine whether a vehicle is being driven off-road or on a public road, determine a first light activation condition that is based on whether the vehicle is being driven off-road or on the public road, and execute a vehicle lights control procedure to grant to a driver of the vehicle on-off control of a first light in the vehicle based on the first light activation condition and to withdraw grant of the on-off control of the first light based on a second light activation condition.

  • Patent number: 9992413
Abstract: A method for displaying images captured by a distributed aperture system (DAS) includes determining a display line of sight (LOS) and display field of view (FOV) corresponding to an operator display of a DAS, mapping the display LOS and the display FOV to a set of sensors of a plurality of sensors of the DAS, for each sensor of the set of sensors: identifying a set of sensor elements that define a minimum image capture area corresponding to the display LOS and the display FOV, processing image data collected by the identified set of sensor elements; and generating an image for the operator display from the processed image data.

  • Patent number: 6061068
Abstract: An airplane (11) includes a system (10) which provides synthetic vision using a reality updated virtual image. The system includes a processor (17) which receives real-time image information regarding a scene of interest from a sensor (12), the sensor being supported on the airplane by a gimbal (13). The processor receives information regarding the orientation of the sensor from the gimbal, and receives navigational information regarding the airplane from a navigation system (14). The processor maintains virtual image information (23) regarding the scene of interest. The processor updates the virtual image information using the real-time image information, in a manner which improves the quality of the representation in the virtual image information of the scene of interest. The processor prepares combined image information (24, 31), by selectively combining information from the real-time and virtual image information.
