    Abstract: A lipoprotein compound delivery particle comprises: (a) a lipophilic or amphipathic compound to be delivered (e.g. paclitaxel); (b) at least one polar lipid (this ingredient being optional when the lipophilic or amphipathic compound serves itself as a polar lipid); (c) optionally, at least one neutral lipid; and (d) a truncated apolipoprotein B (apoB) protein having a deleted LDL receptor binding region. Conjugates useful for making such particles, pharmaceutical formulations containing such particles, and methods of using such particles are also described.
