  • Patent number: 11830315
Abstract: An electronic gaming machine may include an illuminable notification mechanism, which may be disposed on a rear surface of the electronic gaming machine in a position or location that makes the notification mechanism visible to a casino operator. The notification mechanism may include a display, such as, for example, a display that includes at least one tri-color light emitting diode (LED). The display of the notification mechanism may be selectively illuminated in a variety of lighting configurations based, for example, upon gameplay activity of a player of the gaming machine. For instance, in some embodiments, the notification mechanism may be selectively illuminated in any of an inactive lighting configuration, an active lighting configuration, or a privileged lighting configuration. In the privileged lighting configuration, the notification mechanism may indicate that a player of the gaming machine is entitled to a complimentary item (e.g., a free or reduced-price item or service).

  • Patent number: 7862811
Abstract: Methods, and compositions to prevent and/or treat acute or chronic right ventricular failure from pressure over load (RVPO). In one embodiment, the method includes the inhibition of at least one cysteine protease. In other embodiments, the method includes the inhibition of MMP activity to prevent or treat right ventricular failure from acute pressure over load (RVPO). In another embodiment, combination therapies are included to inhibit cysteine protease activity and MMP activity.

  • Publication number: 20100264094
Abstract: Rapidly settling algal strains are selectively developed through a method that is based on manipulating the velocity of a host liquid. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of providing a uniform flow velocity to the liquid, thereby promoting development of one or more algal strains; stopping or at least reducing the uniform flow velocity; removing the upper portion of the water, including any suspended algal strains; providing a second uniform flow velocity to the liquid, which may be the same as the flow velocity that was applied during the first step; stopping or at least reducing the second uniform flow velocity; and removing the upper portion of the remaining liquid, leaving a residual liquid amount that includes one or more rapidly settling algal strains in the form of a rapidly settling algal floc or of a precursor thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090017675
Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, a miniature stereo jack assembly includes an internal sub-assembly including a printed circuit board, a stereo jack component for receiving a stereo jack, and a terminal block. The stereo jack component is disposed against and in electrical contact with a first surface of the printed circuit board and the terminal block is disposed against and in electrical contact with a second surface of the printed circuit board. The stereo jack assembly also includes a housing that surrounds the internal sub-assembly. The housing has a first portion that has external threads for mating with a fastener that is used to attach the stereo jack assembly to a surface, such as a wall plate, panel, chassis or box.

  • Publication number: 20060144212
Abstract: An electronic tone generation system including a plurality of separate, portable, handheld transmitters, or batons, that are provided as “instruments” to one or more players. Each baton can be activated to send a signal, preferably a wireless signal, to a single receiver which produces an output signal fed to a tone generator, preferably a MIDI tone generator, which produces audible sounds via an amplifier and speakers. For example, the batons can correspond to different musical notes as played by a selected musical instrument and the batons can be played in concert to produce a musical or other audible presentation. Alternatively, selected batons can be designated to play in one voice, while others batons are set to play other voices.

  • Publication number: 20050098021
Abstract: An electronic tone generation system including a plurality of separate, portable, handheld transmitters, or batons, that are provided as “instruments” to numerous players to form a choir. Each baton is activated by one of the players to send a signal, preferably a wireless signal, to a single receiver which produces an output signal fed to a tone generator, preferably a MIDI tone generator, which produces audible sounds via an amplifier and speakers.
