  • Publication number: 20240002120
Abstract: Sheet packaging has a corrugated ply bonded to a backing ply. The corrugated ply forms parallel flutes. The packaging comprises voids through both the corrugated ply and the backing ply at intervals along the flutes, thereby forming a plurality of insular portions interconnected by flexures. Each insular portion has a flute portion and a backing portion between adjacent voids and bonded together at respective edges and each flexure comprises bonded-together portions of the corrugated ply and the backing ply. The flexures confer hyper flexibility to the packaging wherein each flexure possesses an independent bend axis across which the flexure can both be twisted and bent.

  • Publication number: 20230383738
Abstract: A diaphragm structured for use in a diaphragm pump useful to pump a working fluid includes a first non-planar layer and a second non-planar layer. The second non-planar layer is independent from the first non-planar layer, but engaged to the first non-planar layer so that the first non-planar layer and the second non-planar layer form a closed space therebetween and travel together while flexing in an intake direction or a discharge direction within a pumping assembly of a diaphragm pump.

  • Patent number: 9339569
Abstract: A system and method for sterilization of medical devices includes methods for reducing the variance in dose levels over the medical device by either varying the dose levels for each pass before a radiation source, such as an electron beam, or by increasing the number of passes before a radiation source.

  • Publication number: 20050020337
Abstract: One aspect provides a trading or playing card system including a plurality of cards or other media having specified identities or characteristics, the identities or characteristics providing an embedded value determinable by validation by a third party. Another aspect provides a trading or playing card system including a plurality of cards having specified identities or characteristics, and a remote site providing interactive applications controlled by the identities or characteristics of the cards. The interactive applications may include interactive games, for which a card may include predetermined characteristics affecting the degree of control of the game. The remote site may be accessed by the Internet or television or any other suitable medium. The system can provide for the display of advertising linked to the card or cards identified by the system.
