  • Publication number: 20230080355
Abstract: A cassette system includes a base assembly and a cassette assembly configured to secure one or more batteries. The cassette assembly includes a battery case and a first electrical connector configured to couple to the one or more batteries. The base assembly is configured to include a wireless communication deice configured to control actuation of one or more sprinkler valves and a second electrical connector configured to electrically couple to the wireless communication device. The first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are configured to electrically couple responsive to the cassette assembly being removably attached to the base assembly.

  • Patent number: 10973182
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, by a wireless component of a wireless valve switch system via a wireless network, wireless instructions and causing, by the wireless component based on the wireless instructions, actuation of a sprinkler valve. In some embodiments, a wireless valve switch system includes a wireless component configured to be electrically coupled to a sprinkler valve. The wireless component includes a controller to receive, via a wireless network, wireless instructions and cause, based on the wireless instructions, actuation of the sprinkler valve. In some embodiments, a wireless valve switch system includes a turbine component that includes a casing forming a chamber configured to be fluidly coupled to a sprinkler valve. The turbine component further includes a turbine disposed in the chamber and configured to rotate responsive to fluid flow through the chamber to power an electrical component configured to be electrically coupled to the sprinkler valve.

  • Publication number: 20170310927
Abstract: A method for overlaying or presenting emotion animation in an audio or video call allows a user to select an emotion from a series of presented states of emotion. Alternatively, the system can visually identify the emotional state of the user by sampling various facial points of the user, and using an algorithm to determine facial characteristics to identify the emotional state of the user, or the system can sample the audio and using an algorithm identify the emotional state of the user. Once the emotional state of the user is identified, either by selected or the system determining, the originating device can send an animated representation of the emotion to a second device, which will be overlaid over the incoming video or audio stream and displayed on the second device.

  • Publication number: 20160224584
Abstract: A system and method for reciprocal deletion of historical records is disclosed. Conventional electronic record keeping systems in OTT (Over-The-Top) content services either do not allow deletion of entire or selective records, or allow deletion of entire or selective records locally on the device. Unlike conventional systems and methods, the invention allows one device to remove entire historical records, or a select set of one or more of the entries, from the device and from the corresponding devices that also contains the historical records. In this way, the OTT historical record is removed from the originating device and the recipient device. In addition, the system can be configured to remove the corresponding historical records if they exists in an archive (ex. cloud server). The invention allows for the reciprocal deletion of OTT historical records on multiple devices.

  • Patent number: 9386091
Abstract: A system and method for communication and messaging among self-adapting peer nodes is disclosed, where each node maintains a list of authorized peer nodes. The nodes exchange requests directly with other nodes over networks, providing information identifying the requesting node and the type of request. The receiving node authenticates the requesting node, authenticates the type of request, and determines method of response to the request. If the request is authenticated and the type of request is valid, the receiving node also validates the incoming request and originating node and adapts its peer node database, applying any required changes. The types of requests exchanged between nodes include: status and location change, message, audio, voice, video, text, and data. The types of responses include: authorized, unauthorized, or ignore. The nodes may periodically send and receive requests for status, messages, and data updates from an optional central server.

  • Publication number: 20150011251
Abstract: A method for transmitting text captions to a mobile device. The text captions are derived from audio and video calls or broadcasts, and may be for deaf or hearing impaired users, or others requiring voice-to-text captions on mobile devices. The invention provides for the audio or video voice information to be transcribed into text and delivered via SMS-texting (Short Message Service) without the need for an IP connection. The receiving caller may see and read the text transcriptions and/or translations of the audio without having an IP connection. Since an IP connection is not always available or reliable on mobile devices, the ability to deliver the text captions via SMS-texting allows the users to operate at virtually anytime, anywhere, and without the necessity of adding a costly data plan to their mobile service.
