Abstract: A package comprising a first panel defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two side edges; a second panel defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two side edges, wherein the second panel is connected to the first panel via longitudinal seams formed along respective side edges of the first and second panels; and at least one end seam formed along at least one of the first end or the second end of the first and second panels, wherein the at least one end seam comprises an outer edge; and a barrier coating disposed on an interior surface of at least one of the first and second panels, wherein the barrier coating does not extend to the side edges of the longitudinal seams or the outer edge of the at least one end seam.

Abstract: Provided is a method and system for using a computer for event management and ensuring compliance with rules pertaining to events. The rules can include laws, regulations, and policies, and can be stored in a database for use by the system. A user interface is used for specifying event information such as event date and time, agenda, invitees, speakers, venue, A/V equipment, etc. The system can generate reports about the event, track and reconcile event costs, verify attendance, and monitor event parameters to ensure compliance with the rules. Also provided is a method and system for using a computer for historical event evaluation, and for generating recommendations for future events.

Abstract: An apparatus for managing communications between an event planner and a venue such as a restaurant comprising a control unit for receiving a event request generated by a prospective event planner, relating to a desire for planning an event; means for assisting a client in formulating a request for proposal to be distributed to event venues throughout the system; means for distributing the request for proposal to said event venues; and means for receiving bids from venues who receive the request for proposal.
