  • Publication number: 20210115357
Abstract: A fabric treatment composition is provided that includes at least one zeta potential modifier, a fluoropolymer and a hydrophobic agent with a melting point or glass transition temperature below 100° C., for imparting fabric protection benefits to a fabric, such as improved stain and soil resistance, oil repellency, water repellency, softness, wrinkle and damage resistance, and better hand feel. Fabric treatment compositions can be used as a pretreatment prior to washing, through soaking, or added to the treatment liquor, that is either the wash or rinse cycle of an automatic washing machine, to first provide and then maintain and refresh the fabric protection benefits imparted to the fabric, with the proviso that an intermediate rinsing step essentially devoid of added surfactant—is used after the washing cycle and prior to the fabric treatment step.

  • Patent number: 10968415
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to cleaning compositions in general, and cleaning compositions that are well suited for use by individuals, who experience adverse health effects that may occur upon exposure to certain chemicals. This condition, characterized as multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), makes it virtually impossible for certain individuals to use commercially available cleaning products without inducing immunological responses. The disclosure presents and describes protocols for the formulation and evaluation of a variety of cleaning products using a combination of 14C assay, head space analysis and screening of both ingredients and final products for governmentally-regulated materials. The methods and compositions newly presented herein avoid causing adverse health responses in individuals and are suitable for use by any person, particularly individuals who experience MCS.

  • Publication number: 20210009928
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a cleaning composition for sanitizing or disinfecting hard surfaces containing a cationic biocide, surfactant and low levels of VOC solvents. The cleaning composition is adapted to clean a variety of hard surfaces without leaving behind a visible residue and creates low levels of streaking and filming on the treated surface. The cleaning composition contains less than 5% by weight of VOCs. The cleaning composition may be used alone as a liquid or spray formulation or in combination with a substrate, for example, a pre-loaded cleaning wipe.

  • Publication number: 20200412110
Abstract: A pull-in head assembly (8) for releasably connecting a pulling arrangement (112) to an elongate flexible structure (4, 6). The pull-in head assembly (8) comprises a body (30) which defines a pulling axis X of the pull-in head assembly (8) and a retaining member (32) arranged around the pulling axis X. The retaining member (32) is configured to secure the pull-in head assembly (8) to an elongate flexible structure (4, 6) such that, in use, a pulling force exerted on the pull-in head assembly (8) along the pulling axis X is transferred to the elongate flexible structure (4, 6). The retaining member (32) is configured to release the pull-in head assembly (8) from the elongate flexible structure (4, 6) when the pulling force exceeds a predetermined threshold such that the pull-in head assembly (8) can be separated from the elongate flexible structure (4, 6).
