  • Patent number: 9810822
Abstract: According to one aspect, the invention relates to an angular optical filtering element (Ei) optimized for angular filtering about a given operating angle of incidence (?i, 1) in a given spectral band. The angular filtering element (Ei) comprises a first nanostructured, band-pass, spectral filter (11i, 301) and a second nanostructured, band-pass, spectral filter (12i, 302). Each of the first and second spectral filters comprises, respectively, in said spectral band, a first and a second central filtering wavelength that respectively has a first and second angular dispersion curve defined depending on the angle of incidence (?inc) on the optical filtering element (Ei), the curves of angular dispersion being secant about the operating angle of incidence (?i, 1) of the optical filtering element. The invention applies to the production of a selective angular filtering device and to a multidirectional optical detection system.

  • Publication number: 20170303962
Abstract: An apparatus and method for introducing portals into bone is described herein. An example apparatus for introducing portals into bone includes a handle, a base, and a driving member. The driving member can be made to project past the base by operating the handle. The base is detachable from the handle. The apparatus also includes a guide coupled at a first end to the handle and at a second end to the base. The base is detachably coupled to the guide. A base coupling detachably coupling the base to the guide includes an actuating member movable between a coupled configuration wherein the base is coupled to the guide and an uncoupled configuration wherein the base is released from the guide. • Publication number: 20170266398
Abstract: Described herein are introducer devices and methods for using an introducer device to facilitate passing an endoluminal instrument to a target region of a body cavity. An introducer device may include a tubular member having an inner wall that defines a channel configured to receive the endoluminal instrument and a plurality of projections disposed in the channel at perimetrically spaced apart locations around the inner wall, where the projections extend inward and are configured to offset the endoluminal instrument from the inner wall, thereby creating a space between the endoluminal instrument and the inner wall. A method for using an introducer device may include passing the endoluminal instrument to a first instrument insertion depth within the introducer device, advancing the introducer device in the body cavity, and advancing the endoluminal instrument to a second instrument insertion depth within the introducer device.
