  • Patent number: 11078008
Abstract: An insulating insert for a packaging system includes six pockets and multiple sealed dividers. The six pockets are rectangular in shape and are each filled with an insulating material. The six pockets include a bottom pocket configured to contact a bottom inside surface of a box, four side pockets each configured to contact a respective side inside surface of the box, and a top pocket configured to contact a top inside surface of the box when the insulating insert is placed into the box. Each sealed divider is located between two adjacent pockets. The sealed dividers provide fold locations to permit the insulating insert to be folded and installed within the box so that each of the six pockets contacts a respective inside surface of the box.

  • Publication number: 20120061457
Abstract: A carton formed from a blank of foldable sheet material having two pairs of upstanding generally parallel sidewall panels and two upstanding diagonal corner panels. The corner panels are hingedly foldably connected to the sidewall panels intermediate and adjoining the sidewall panels. One pair of sidewall panels is attached to shaped flaps, which have one edge that abuts and rests against an adjoining sidewall panel and another edge that abuts and rests against an adjoining diagonal corner wall panel. The other pair of sidewall panels are hingedly foldably connected to cover forming flaps at their upper and lower edges to form the bottom and top panels of the carton. A reinforcing filler of styrofoam or other filler material may be used to support the bottom and top panels of the carton and diagonal corner wall panels.

  • Publication number: 20120061456
Abstract: A carton formed from a blank of foldable corrugated sheet material having two pairs of upstanding generally parallel sidewall panels and a pair of first flaps hingedly foldably connected to the upper and lower edges of each sidewall panel along a fold line, the flaps configured to form a panel for covering the bottom and top of the carton when the carton is assembled and wherein cuts for support tabs are made into the corrugated material along the fold lines such that when the cover-forming flaps are folded 90 degrees to form the bottom cover of the carton, the support tabs remain oriented in the planes of the sidewall panels. The carton may further comprise cuts for corner support tabs made into the corrugated material at each of the locations where the fold lines overlap adjacent sidewall panels, such that when the cover-forming flaps are folded 90 degrees to form the bottom or top cover of the carton, the corner support tabs remain oriented in the planes of the sidewall panels.
