  • Patent number: 9827510
Abstract: A separator unit includes a tank defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet. An insert separates the tank into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The insert includes a weir at an upper side to define an intake area for receiving an influent liquid, a first opening in the intake area for delivering liquid down into the lower chamber and a second opening on an opposite side of the weir for delivering liquid from the lower chamber back up into the upper chamber. The separator may include one or more of the first opening being of arcuate shape, a perforated shroud extending downward from the insert within the lower chamber and/or an upflow pipe extending downward from the second opening into the lower chamber, a bottom of the upflow pipe covered, and a slot opening in a sidewall of the upflow pipe.

  • Patent number: 9057461
Abstract: A pipe includes a tubular pipe formed of a metal sheet that is spirally wound such that opposite edges of the metal sheet are joined by a crimped lock seam that extends helically along a length of the tubular pipe. A sealing arrangement includes a helically extending worked surface band extending along the crimped lock seam and to both sides of the crimped lock seam, the worked surface band having a surface roughness that is greater than a surface roughness of unworked surface portions outside of the worked surface band. A helically extending external coating band is applied over the crimped lock seam and bonded to the worked surface band.

  • Publication number: 20120305492
Abstract: A rainwater collection system is described which includes generally a rainwater routing system and a collection unit. The rainwater routing system may comprise a first flush diversion unit designed to discharge to a run-off path, an initial amount of rainwater such that initial particulate matter from rooftops, etc., are not collected. The rainwater routing system may comprise a pre-treatment unit, the pre-treatment unit designed to remove particulate matter from the rainwater. The collection unit of the rainwater collection system comprises a storage tank having an internal day tank compartment. The described rainwater collection system allows for the collection of rainwater with a substantially reduced amount of particulate matter.

  • Patent number: 8110099
Abstract: A filter assembly for use in filtering stormwater includes a bottom including a boss that includes a rib extending laterally along an inner surface of the boss. The rib includes a locking portion that mates with a corresponding locking portion on a peripheral surface of a connection to an outlet conduit for securing the bottom to the connection thereby inhibiting rotation of the bottom relative to the outlet conduit. A center tube is secured to the bottom using a locking mechanism that inhibits relative movement between the bottom and the center tube. The center tube is in communication with an opening in the bottom and a hood is secured to the center tube. A filter medium is located between the hood and the center tube.

  • Patent number: 7517450
Abstract: A stormwater filtration system includes a stormwater containment structure including a concrete floor and a pre-assembled flow structure embedded in the concrete floor. The pre-assembled flow structure includes an inlet compartment housing, an outlet compartment housing and at least one filter conduit positioned between the inlet compartment housing and the outlet compartment housing and in flow communication with the interior of the outlet compartment housing. At least one bypass conduit extends from the inlet compartment housing to the outlet compartment housing for delivering water from the interior of the inlet compartment housing to the interior of the outlet compartment housing. A plurality of filter units are connected to the filter conduit so that stormwater filtered by the filter units passes into the filter conduit and then to the interior of the outlet compartment housing.
