  • Patent number: 11375897
Abstract: A system for characterization of a brain tissue sample includes a laser having an excitation fiber and a probe coupled to the excitation fiber for irradiating the brain tissue sample with light at an excitation wavelength. The probe further includes a plurality of return fibers for receiving light scattered from the brain tissue sample, wherein each return fiber includes a microfilter that permits light to pass for a different, spaced apart marker region. A Raman spectrometer is in communication with the plurality of return fibers, and a processor is in communication with the Raman spectrometer for analyzing Raman spectra within the marker regions to identify a tissue type of the brain tissue sample as one of normal white matter brain tissue, normal grey matter brain tissue, brain tumor tissue, infiltrating tumor tissue, and necrotic tissue.

  • Patent number: 11363013
Abstract: An identity authenticator receives a first authentication credential from a first application at a first computing device. The identity authenticator then determines that the first authentication credential is associated with a second authentication credential for the first application at a second computing device based on a stored authentication identity. The identity authenticator then provides a stored execution state for the first application to the first computing device, wherein the stored execution state is associated, based on the stored authentication identity, with at least one of the first authentication credential or the second authentication credential.

  • Patent number: 11353589
Abstract: A system align point clouds obtained by sensors of a vehicle using kinematic iterative closest point with integrated motions estimates. The system receives lidar scans from a lidar mounted on the vehicle. The system derives point clouds from the lidar scan data. The system iteratively determines velocity parameters that minimize an aggregate measure of distance between corresponding points of the plurality of pairs of points. The system iteratively improves the velocity parameters. The system uses the velocity parameters for various purposes including for building high definition maps used for navigating the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11340355
Abstract: A vehicle computing system validates location data received from a Global Navigation Satellite System receiver with other sensor data. In one embodiment, the system calculates velocities with the location data and the other sensor data. The system generates a probabilistic model for velocity with a velocity calculated with location data and variance associated with the location data. The system determines a confidence score by applying the probabilistic model to one or more of the velocities calculated with other sensor data. In another embodiment, the system implements a machine learning model that considers features extracted from the sensor data. The system generates a feature vector for the location data and determines a confidence score for the location data by applying the machine learning model to the feature vector. Based on the confidence score, the system can validate the location data. The validated location data is useful for navigation and map updates.

  • Publication number: 20220154706
Abstract: A method for operating a variable capacity drive circuit of a compressor includes operating first and second four-quadrant switches in a first state in which the first four-quadrant switch is closed and the second four-quadrant switch is open such that a voltage seen by the motor is equal to an AC line voltage. The method also includes operating the first and second four-quadrant switches in a second state where the first four-quadrant switch is open and the second four-quadrant switch is closed such that the voltage seen by the motor is to zero. Further, the method includes providing a positive firing angle and a negative firing angle for defining when the first and second four-quadrant switches are operated in each of the first and second states. Moreover, the method also includes transitioning between the first and second states using the firing angles at a switching frequency determined by the AC line voltage frequency.
