  • Publication number: 20120062226
Abstract: Devices and related methods for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis of particulate materials are provided including a detector chamber configured for insertion into an NMR spectrometer and configured to receive particulate materials in a fluid. A circulation chamber is attached to and in fluid communication with a first end of the detector chamber. A transition region is between the detector chamber and the circulation chamber, and a fluid supply interface is at a second end of the detector chamber that is configured to attach to a fluid source. The detector chamber, the circulation chamber and the transition region are sized and configured such that, when fluid flows from the fluid supply interface into the second end of the detector region, a circulating current is formed in the transition region and/or the circulation chamber such that the particulate matter is contained in the circulation chamber by the circulating current.

  • Patent number: 8089899
Abstract: A method for communication is disclosed and may include performing, using one or more processors and/or circuits in a server platform, negotiating a rate at which one or more of a plurality of blade servers in the server platform communicate. Data may be communicated at the negotiated data rate by the one or more of the plurality of blade servers. The data rate may be negotiated in response to one or more packets received by the one or more of the plurality of blade servers. At least a portion of the data may be communicated from a first of the plurality of blade servers to a second of the plurality of blade servers at the negotiated data rate.

  • Publication number: 20110173612
Abstract: Systems and methods that support splitting a compute resource from its input/output and sharing among one or more users are provided. In one embodiment, a system that supports one or more user devices may include, for example, a compute engine, a first user device and a second user device. The compute engine may be adapted to provide virtualization. The virtualization may provide, for example, a first instance of a particular operating system and a second instance of the particular operating system. The first user device may be coupled to the compute engine and may access the first instance of the particular operating system. The second user device may be coupled to the compute engine and may access the second instance of the particular operating system. In one example, the user devices are input/output devices that do not run applications or operating systems.

  • Publication number: 20110147552
Abstract: A mounting bracket for mounting a temperature sensor, a gas valve, a power delivery unit, a controller and/or any other suitable object or device to a water heater tank or other appliance. An illustrative but non-limiting example may be found in a mounting bracket that includes a polymeric body that has a sensor portion configured to receive a temperature sensor. The sensor portion may have a distal end that extends into and supports the temperature sensor within the water heater tank. The polymeric body may also includes a threaded portion that is configured to threadably engage a threaded spud in a water heater tank such that the distal end of the sensor portion extends into the water tank of the water heater. Various features for increasing the strength and durability of the bracket are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20110045423
Abstract: A pilot burner assembly for easy removal of a thermo-electric or other device is disclosed. In an illustrative embodiment, a burner tube, thermo-electric device, and/or spark source are retained in a desired position via a bracket and resilient clip. The bracket may include retention features built into the bracket to help aid in the positioning of the burner tube, thermo-electric device, and/or spark source. The burner tube, thermo-electric device and/or spark source may include retention features that are configured to engage corresponding retention features in the bracket, when desired. The resilient clip may bias the retention features of the burner tube, thermo-electric device and/or spark source against corresponding the retention features of the bracket.

  • Publication number: 20100042528
Abstract: A computer implemented method and system for financing and reimbursement of infrastructure and improvements to real property. The method results in the reimbursement of certain costs of infrastructure and improvements made to the land. These improvements could include utilities, streets and drainage among others. Data received via a wide area network from a client and multiple databases is processed, automatically generating and delivering via e-mail protocol or website access, proposals and financial projections unique to that client. The data is further processed generating a covenant or similar instrument recorded in the real property records. The instrument creates a lien running with the land obligating future owners to pay assessments for set period of time and or total dollar amount.

  • Publication number: 20090201927
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include receiving a first packet from a first of a plurality of blade servers at a first data rate and determining a second blade server that may receive the first packet. Data responsive to the received first packet may be transferred to the second blade server at a negotiated first data rate. A second packet comprising at least a portion of the first received packet may be transferred to the second blade server at the negotiated data rate. At least a portion of the first received packet may be transferred to at least the second blade server via a common bus. In another aspect of the invention, at least a third packet may be received from a network at a second data rate. Data responsive to the third packet may be transferred to at least a third blade server at a newly negotiated data rate.
