Patent number: 11975739Abstract: A process for validating a public safety agency command issued to a vehicle. In operation, a public safety agency controller receives a public safety agency command validation inquiry from a vehicle communication device. The inquiry indicates that the vehicle communication device has detected a public safety agency command issued to the vehicle and includes a first vehicle identifier and a first vehicle location. The controller receives a public safety agency command information including a second vehicle identifier and a second vehicle location from a public safety agency communication device. The validity of the public safety agency command is determined based on comparing the first vehicle identifier with the second vehicle identifier and comparing the first vehicle location with the second vehicle location. The controller then transmits a notification to the vehicle communication device identifying the validity of the public safety agency command.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2018Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC.Inventors: Wojciech Kucharski, Pawel Jurzak, Grzegorz Kaplita

Publication number: 20240071159Abstract: An access-control mechanism, wireless device, and method for controlling the access-control mechanism and wireless device is provided herein. During operation the wireless device will create a “group” of devices that will be allowed to enter through a passage barrier without authentication. When authenticating with the access-control mechanism, the wireless device will prove the access-control mechanism with a list of credentials (e.g., identification information) for each device within the group. The access-control mechanism will then determine if every device on the list is allowed entry. If so, non-authenticated entry for a number of devices/people through the passage barrier will be allowed. The number of non-authenticated devices/people allowed to enter will be equal to a number of devices that are in the group.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: EWELINA CZERNOMYSA, MATEUSZ KIFER, MACIEJ SCHMIDT, GRZEGORZ KAPLITA, DARIUSZ PUTEK, RAFAL WESOLOWSKI-KUTA, GRZEGORZ ZYCH

Publication number: 20230370548Abstract: A process for prompting a user to report a public-safety incident. In operation, an electronic computing device captures sensor data via one or more sensor devices communicatively coupled to the electronic computing device. The device uses the captured sensor data to detect an occurrence of a potential public-safety incident and further monitors whether a user operating the device has not reported the safety incident to an identified public-safety agency. If the user does not report the incident, then the device identifies a time window as a function of as a function of one or more of user availability, user health and/or mental status, user convenience, user privacy, user safety or severity of the potential public-safety incident, or predefined user input. The device then provides a visual and/or audio prompt for prompting the user to report the incident to the public-safety agency during the identified time window.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2022Publication date: November 16, 2023Inventors: WOJCIECH KUCHARSKI, MATEUSZ SMETEK, PAWEL SMIETANA, GRZEGORZ KAPLITA, DOMINIK WOJTASZEK, ANDRZEJ BUKOWSKI

Publication number: 20230004654Abstract: An analysis engine of an anomaly detection system receives an input captured by a monitoring device, determines, based on a currently used anomaly detection model, that the input represents an object or event that should not be classified as an anomaly, and determines, based on a previously used model, that the input was previously classified as an anomaly. In response, the analysis engine determines a respective classification result for the input based on additional models used between the currently and previously used models, determines, based on the respective classification results, that it is likely that the anomaly detection system has been deliberately re-trained to falsely classify the input, and initiates an action to correctly classify the input as representing an object or event that should be classified as an anomaly. The anomaly detection models and classification results may be stored in a training repository for the anomaly detection system.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2019Publication date: January 5, 2023Inventors: Pawel Jurzak, Grzegorz Kaplita, Wojciech Kucharski, Stefan Koprowski

Publication number: 20220350969Abstract: In one aspect, a method to ensure a submitter of an anonymous tip remains anonymous is provided. An anonymous tip may be received from a tip submitter at an electronic tip submission system. Natural language processing may be applied to extract at least one token from the anonymous tip. At least one query may be created based on the extracted at least one token. The at least one query may be executed against one or more databases storing data associated with the at least one token. A number of possible tip submitters may be determined based on the results of the at least one query. Anonymization techniques may be applied to the anonymous tip when the number of possible tip submitters is less than or equal to a defined threshold. The anonymous tip may be submitted when the number of possible tip submitters exceeds the defined threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2018Publication date: November 3, 2022Inventors: PAWEL JURZAK, GRZEGORZ KAPLITA, WOJCIECH KUCHARSKI

Publication number: 20220337702Abstract: A device, system and method for selecting calls for forwarding to a communication device is provided. An automated call-answering device answers a plurality of calls associated with an incident. The device assigns, to the plurality of calls, questions associated with the incident, each of the questions assigned to at least two of the plurality of calls. The device asks the questions on the plurality of calls, as assigned. The device receives answers to the questions. The device selects a call to be forwarded to a communication device operated by a human user, the call selected from a group of the plurality of calls where one or more consistent answers were received in response to a given question, the call further selected based on voice attributes of callers in the group of the plurality of calls. Patent number: 11170223Abstract: A process for fixed camera and unmanned mobile device collaboration is disclosed in order to improve identification of an object of interest. A first point of view (POV) of a captured object is obtained and it is determined, with a first level of certainty, that the captured first POV of the object matches a stored object of interest. A dispatch instruction and intercept information is then wirelessly broadcast for receipt by camera-equipped unmanned mobile vehicles within a broadcast range for identifying and intercepting the object. Subsequently, a captured second POV of the first captured object is received via the one or more camera-equipped unmanned mobile vehicles. The captured second POV of the captured object is used to determine, with a second level of certainty, that the captured object matches the stored object of interest.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2020Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC.Inventors: Wojciech Jan Kucharski, Pawel Jurzak, Grzegorz Kaplita
