Abstract: A dishwasher comprises a chassis having a base, a tub supported on the base and at least partially defining a treating chamber having an access opening, a door having a door height extending between a door upper end and a door lower end, a hinge pivotally mounting the door to the chassis for pivotal movement between a closed position, wherein the access opening is closed, and an opened position, wherein the access opening is opened, a non-racking decorative cover having a cover height extending between a cover upper end and a cover lower end; and a slide assembly mounting the decorative cover to the door to move the decorative cover upwardly from a retracted position to an extended position as the door is pivoted from the closed position to the open position.
