Patent number: 12216001Abstract: A device and a method for detecting a light irradiating angle are disclosed. The device, used to detect the incident direction of a light ray, includes a solar sensor and a processor. The sensing unit of the solar sensor has sensing areas. The sensing areas correspondingly generate sensing signals based on the intensity of the light ray. A mask covers the sensing unit and has an X-shaped light transmitting portion. The light ray transmits the X-shaped light transmitting portion to form an X-axis light ray and a Y-axis light ray. The X-axis light ray intersects the Y-axis light ray. The X-axis light ray and the Y-axis light ray fall on the sensing area. The processor, coupled to the sensing unit, receives the sensing signals and determines information of the incident direction according to the sensing signals.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2022Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: National Yang Ming Chiao Tung UniversityInventors: Mang Ou-Yang, Yung-Jhe Yan, Guan-Yu Huang, Tse Yu Cheng, Chang-Hsun Liu, Yu-Siou Liu, Ying-Wen Jan, Chen-Yu Chan, Tung-Yun Hsieh

Publication number: 20250017199Abstract: A biomimetic waterfowl includes a housing, two waterfowl legs, and a driving module. The waterfowl legs are spaced apart from each other in a left-right direction and are mounted to a bottom portion of the housing. Each waterfowl leg includes a first segment mounted to the housing and rotatable about a first axis parallel to the left-right direction, and a second segment rotatable about a second axis parallel to the first axis. The driving module is mounted to the housing and is configured to drive the waterfowl legs. Each of the waterfowl legs is movable between a retracted state, where the first segment extends forwardly from the housing and the second segment extends rearwardly from the first segment, and a propelling state, where the first segment extends rearwardly from the housing and the second segment extends rearwardly from the first segment.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2023Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventors: Wei-Yu HUANG, Chang-Qi ZHANG, Guan-Hao PAN, Li-Yuan YEH, Tai-Yu CHEN, Ching-Hung LIU, Chih-Wei SHEN, Ching-Shu LAI

Patent number: 11777442Abstract: A polyhedron device for sensing light rays and detecting incident directions of the light rays includes a polyhedron mounting seat. The polyhedron mounting seat includes a bottom surface, a top surface, and side surfaces, wherein the bottom surface is opposite to the top surface. The side surfaces, located between the top surface and the bottom surface and inclined to the bottom surface, face toward different directions. The side surfaces are respectively provided with first light sensors. The top surface is provided with at least one second light sensor. The specific design of the polyhedron mounting seat is provided to the sensor for detecting a light ray at a larger angle, thereby measuring the finer data.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2022Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: National Yang Ming Chiao Tung UniversityInventors: Mang Ou-Yang, Yung-Jhe Yan, Tse-Yu Cheng, Guan-Yu Huang, Chang-Hsun Liu, Yu-Siou Liu, Ying-Wen Jan, Chen-Yu Chan, Tung-Yun Hsieh

Patent number: 7532026Abstract: A testing device for performing a white balance test on a display device of an electronic equipment is disclosed. The testing device includes a supporting body, a testing member, a position-adjusting member and a clipping member. The testing member is disposed on the supporting body and used to mask the display device and perform the white balance test on the display device. The testing member has a testing opening. The position-adjusting member is disposed on the supporting body for adjusting a position where the testing member is disposed on the supporting body. The clipping member presses the display device against the testing member when the position-adjusting member makes the testing member aligned with the display device such that the display device can be closely contacted with the testing member. Thus, the white balance test can be performed on the display device through the testing member.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2006Date of Patent: May 12, 2009Assignee: Inventec CorporationInventors: Guan-Yu Huang, Chang-Long Pan, Shih-Tung Chan, Lei Ye, Michael Yang, Leo Yue
