    Abstract: A battery cover latching assembly (30) is used in a portable electronic device (9). The portable electronic device has a housing (10) and a battery cover (20) releasably connected via the battery cover latching assembly. The housing has a button hole (171) defined in one end portion thereof. The battery cover latching assembly has a button (40) and a spring (50). The button and the spring are installed in the button hole of the housing. The button is movable relative to the housing for assembling or disassembling the battery cover to or from the housing.
