    Abstract: A card edge connector defines an insulative housing, the housing includes a lengthwise base portion with opposite end walls along a lengthwise direction thereof, and a card-receiving slot runs forwards for an electrical card; a plurality of terminals are loaded in the housing and the terminals defines contacting portions exposing to the card-receiving slot and welding portions extending out of the housing; a pair of latch members are fixed to the end walls, each latch member comprises a locking portion, the locking portion bends inwards and downwards slantwise, the locking portion also defines an upper guiding surface and a lower resisting surface opposite to the upper guiding surface, wherein the guiding surfaces are disposed slantwise to the electrical card while the resisting surface is parallel to the electrical card.

    Abstract: An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing with a plurality of passageways to receive corresponding contacts, respectively. Each of the contacts includes a contact arm, a soldering portion and an engagement portion. The contact arm defines a contact point at an end thereof The engagement defines a first connecting rod, a second connecting rod and a joint section. The contact arm is above the first connecting rod and connects to one end of the first connecting rod. The first connecting rod defines a connecting face facing to the contact arm. The soldering portion connects with the second connecting rod. The joint section has a retaining arm extending along the direction far away from the first connecting rod. The retaining arm is disposed between the first and the second connecting rods and is lower than the connecting face of the first connecting rod.

    Abstract: A card edge connector assembly includes a card edge connector and an electronic card defining a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other and a mating end having a plurality of conductive pads thereof. The card edge connector includes a longitudinal base and a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the longitudinal base. The longitudinal base defines a longitudinal slot for receiving the mating end, the conductive terminals define elastic contacting portions exposed to the longitudinal slot and connecting portions along a mounting surface of the base. The longitudinal slot is defined with an upper inner surface and a lower inner surface inside therein. The first surface of the electronic card is flush with the upper inner surface of the slot and the second surface projects from lower inner surface to the mounting surface when the electronic card is inserted into the longitudinal slot.
