    Abstract: A radiomic biomarker determination method and system for assessment of the risk of metabolic diseases. The method includes: obtaining abdominal & pelvic volumetric computed tomography (CT) scan from the given subject; determining the fat area to be analyzed from the CT scan, separating visceral fat using an image segmentation method, and normalizing the visceral fat area under physical scale; extracting N imaging features of the visceral fat; selecting n optimal imaging features from the N candidate features; dividing the normalized visceral fat area into multiple visceral fat blocks with equal thickness; extracting n corresponding optimal imaging features from each visceral fat block, named as block imaging features; and determining the representative visceral fat block from the candidate blocks and taking the representative visceral fat block and the (block) imaging features extracted from the representative visceral fat block as radiomic biomarkers.

The voltage regulation module adjusts a voltage output to the protection circuit according to a sleep control signal. The protection circuit determines whether to trigger over-discharge protection according to an input voltage. The wake-up circuit includes a first switching device, and the wake-up circuit outputs a wake-up control signal to the protection circuit based on an operation of the first switching device by a user such that the protection circuit stops triggering the over-discharge protection.

    Abstract: An intestinal microorganism metagenomic feature is a bacteroid intestinal pattern. By using the intestinal metagenomic pattern, it was found that type 2 diabetic patients with different intestinal parasitic bacterial flora had remarkably different responses to treatment with the diabetic hypoglycemic drug acarbose. Therefore, before treatments, the intestinal patterns of the patients can be assessed to select those patients likely to experience optimal curative effects, and to determine whether acarbose is suitable for the treatment of individual patients with type 2 diabetes. In addition, while intestinal patterns are conventionally distinguished by DNA sequencing or PCT amplification of parasitic bacteria in excrements, the intestinal patterns can be well distinguished using a bile acid composition, especially secondary bile acids, under baseline conditions. The intestinal patterns can be identified through markers in blood, and then be used as markers for diagnosis.
