  • Patent number: 7799160
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite container with different opening sizes, which is accomplished by winding with fibers impregnated with resin. First, fibers impregnated with resin are wound on a first substrate for winding a first container, wherein first openings are positioned at both ends of the first container. Then, cut the first container into two shells with a first opening each, and slip one of the shells on a second substrate. Next, fibers impregnated with resin is used for winding the second substrate and the shell such that the fibers impregnated with resin wound on the second substrate and the shell are combined to form a second container, where both ends of the second container are the first opening and a second opening with different opening sizes. Thereby, filament winding can be applied for manufacturing containers with different opening sizes on both ends, and the technique of manufacturing and performance of containers are enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7550186
Abstract: An angle-laminated composite tube with double layer of materials uses an inner layer material and an outer layer material with different functional properties. The two materials are cut into a plurality of slices in a specific shape. They are laminated alternately with a mismatching angle inside a mold with a specific angle to form a laminated assembly. Finally, a hot press is used to cure the laminated assembly into a structure with an inner layer, an outer layer, and an interlacing layer. The slice shape of the inner layer material and the outer layer material is specifically designed so that the inner layer, the outer layer, and the interlacing layer receive an even pressure during the curing process, rendering desired densities in the layers. The angle-laminated composite tube can achieve a high structural strength, with the inner and outer parts satisfying different functional needs.

  • Publication number: 20060118992
Abstract: A dual-layered thermal insulation composite panel includes an out layer of high-temperature resistant carbon fiber reinforced phenolic resin composite and an inner layer of low thermal conductivity and high-purity silica fiber reinforced phenolic resin composite. A hot press or autoclave may be used to pressurize said materials into shaping. The dual-layered thermal insulation composite panel achieves excellent performance in thermal resistance, thermal insulation and mechanical strength.

  • Patent number: 6986521
Abstract: An improved vibration suppressed bicycle structure includes a frame and a handle set that have ceramic piezoelectric elements located thereon to couple with passive and active control energy consuming mechanisms to convert the vibration energy of the bicycle body into electric energy, which is consumed in heat or gathered for active control use. The invention can absorb vibration energy of the bicycle to enhance structural performance, reduce vibration, and give bicycle riders more comfort over long distance rides and improved maneuverability.
