  • Patent number: 11881890
Abstract: An electrical layer subnetwork connection protection includes determining, by a network device including a processor, signal status information based on a power of an obtained optical signal. The signal status information is used to indicate a state of a subnetwork connection carrying the optical signal. The method also includes filtering, by the network device, the signal status information based on a preset first threshold. The first threshold indicates a minimum duration in which the optical signal is in a valid state. The method further includes determining, by the network device based on the filtered signal status information, whether to switch a currently used first clock to a second clock different from the clock. The first clock or the second clock is used to initialize connection monitoring information in response to the determination of whether to switch the currently used first clock to the second clock.

  • Patent number: 11690109
Abstract: The technology relates to establishing wireless communication links, or connections, between a first audio accessory device, a second audio accessory device, and a client computing device. After receiving signals from the client computing device to initiate audio output, the first audio accessory device and the second audio accessory device may both perform a series of steps in parallel to establish connections with the client computing device and with each other. The series of steps may include relaying one or more acknowledgement (ACK) signals between the audio accessory devices in order to confirm proper receipt of the signals from the client computing device at both audio accessory devices. Alternatively, the series of steps may include transmitting a jamming signal from one of the audio accessory devices in order to prevent an ACK signal from the other audio accessory device from reaching the client computing device and initiating audio output.

  • Patent number: 11272571
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for role switch with perceptible continuity of audio streaming during the role switch. The role switch occurs in two stages, with a first stage including a host link role switch and a second stage including a relay link role switch. For example, the host link role switch concerns the relationship of each audio receiver device to the host device, where the master device receives audio directly from the host for relay to the slave. The relay link role switch concerns a relationship between the audio receiver devices. For example, the communication master controls timing, such as when to send packets between the master and slave devices. Each stage of the two stage procedure may take approximately 100 ms or less. Between each stage, the audio buffers of the master and slave devices have an opportunity to refill.

  • Patent number: 11202334
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for detection of conditions, and triggering role switch between wirelessly paired devices in response to detection of particular conditions. In response to detection of particular conditions, a primary device may switch roles with a secondary device. Such conditions may include battery level of each device, signal strength of each device, audio buffer levels, whether the devices are being worn by a user, whether a microphone is active, historic data, or any combination of these or other conditions.

  • Patent number: 11152935
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method for resetting firmware in an electronic accessory, such as a wearable electronic device, without a physical reset button on the accessory. A secondary device, such as a case for the accessory, can serve as a power source that initiates the reset. The reset may be manually initiated, for example by a user pressing a button, or automatically initiated, such as by the secondary device detecting that the accessory is unresponsive. The secondary device sends a reset command to the electronic accessory through a power line connection. The power line connection may be made, for example, upon contact of the accessory with the secondary device. In some examples, the reset command may be an elevated power level. Upon receiving the reset command through the power line, the accessory completes the reset.

  • Publication number: 20190175639
Abstract: An application of an ABCC3-013 mRNA splicing variant for manufacturing a testing kit for clopidogrel resistance is provided. Part of the nucleotide sequences of the ABCC3-013 mRNA is described as SEQ ID No. 2. The test kit can measure an in vivo (such as peripheral leukocytes) expression levels of the ABCC3-013 mRNA of a patient to determine clopidogrel resistance, thereby providing a new method for diagnostics of clopidogrel resistance, which would help guide personalized therapy of clopidogrel in patient care. An all new test kit is provided for assay of clopidogrel resistance, characterized by an AUC of 0.674 (P=0.0018), a sensitivity of 52%, and a specificity of 86% for its performance in clinical settings, all of which are significantly improved compared with CYP2C19 genotyping that is recommended by US FDA and CPIC for the same purpose.

  • Patent number: 9531483
Abstract: UEs are adapted to facilitate calculation of signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) estimates in closed-loop transmission diversity (CLTD) communications before downlink and uplink synchronization is achieved. A UE may receive a transmission sent using transmission diversity. According to one example, the UE may calculate a plurality of signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) estimates for the received transmission, where each signal-to-interference ratio estimate is calculated using a different weight factor. The UE may further select one of the calculated signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) estimates to be employed for the received transmission. According to another example, the UE may calculate a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) estimate for the received transmission without employing any weight factor. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.

  • Patent number: 9401742
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for wireless communications are described. A method of wireless communications includes determining an energy for a first signal received at a first finger of a rake receiver after a reference signal is received at a second finger of the rake receiver, determining an energy for a second signal received at a third finger of a rake receiver before the reference signal is received at the second finger of the rake receiver, and selecting the first signal as a new reference signal when the energy of the first signal exceeds the energy of the second signal by a predefined threshold amount. In another aspect, a method includes assigning a signal received at a rake receiver to a finger of the rake receiver, and deassigning the finger if the signal has an energy level below a preselected lock threshold energy for a predefined time.

  • Patent number: 9264962
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus and methods for detecting and handling a spurious Dedicated Physical Channel (DPCH) of a cell in an active set from a mobile station side. A user equipment determines a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) for each channel of a plurality of channels associated with cells maintained in an active set. A spurious DPCH has the lowest SIR among the plurality of channels. The user equipment puts the detected spurious DPCH in an exclusion mode in which the spurious DPCH is excluded from at least one of channel decoding or SIRE calculation, while maintaining the cell associated with the spurious DPCH in the active set.
