  • Publication number: 20150116451
Abstract: In one embodiment, video is transmitted between a sending device and a receiving device. The sending device is configured to receive adjacent camera views and encode the adjacent camera views independently into video streams. The sending device performs an image analysis on the adjacent camera views in order to generate a projection matrix to relate the adjacent camera views. The projection matrix and the encoded video streams are sent to at least one receiver. The receiver is configured to receive the encoded video streams and the projection matrix relating the encoded video streams. The receiver calculates an aggregate video stream using the projection matrix. The aggregate video stream includes portions of at least two of the encoded video streams. Other receivers may receive the same encoded video streams and generate a different aggregate video stream having a varying size, resolution, or number of views.

  • Publication number: 20150092832
Abstract: In one implementation, a network device receives a series of video frames spanning a series time period from a network. The time period may be static of a specific duration or identified dynamically based on the timing of the video frames. The network device decodes the series of video frames and stores the decoded series of data frames in memory along with associated timestamps. A pause phenomenon in excess of expected delay is identified between two of the decoded video frames. The network device forwards or displays the series of decoded frames such that each successive pair of frames in the series of decoded frames are spaced by a resultant delay period that is less than a duration of the pause phenomenon.

  • Publication number: 20140165372
Abstract: A method for machining and finishing a metallic member to provide a finished product without any additional process uses a lathe and a milling process. A non-circular metallic member on a worktable is rotated, and lathe tool moved backwards and forwards to machine the peripheral top portion of the metallic member. The path of the lathe tool machines curved surfaces of the top portion of the metallic member. The rotation of the metallic member is then stopped, and a milling cutter is brought to meet the peripheral sidewall of the metallic member. The movement and feeding of the milling cutter is predetermined. The worktable rotates the metallic member to enable one end edge of the peripheral sidewall and then another to face the milling cutter, and have the end edge chamfered by the milling cutter.

Abstract: Techniques are presented herein for switching between a software decoder and a hardware decoder in a hybrid decoder. A video bit stream is received. The video bit stream is analyzed to determine whether or not the video bit stream can be decoded by the hardware decoder. When the video bit stream can be decoded by the hardware decoder, the video bit stream is routed to the hardware decoder and also stored in a first buffer. The video bit stream is decoded by the hardware decoder and when a reference frame is decoded, the reference frame is stored in a second buffer. When the video bit stream cannot be decoded by the hardware decoder, the video bit stream is routed to the software decoder for decoding. When an instantaneous decoder refresh (IDR) frame is decoded by the software decoder, the IDR frame is stored in the first buffer.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally related to an apparatus having cutter elements for destroying articles such as paper sheets and a mechanism for separating at least a sheet from a stack in a tray. A paper feed mechanism feeds paper that is separated from the stack by a stack separation mechanism to the cutter elements. The feed and separation mechanisms can be activated by rotation of the cutter elements. In one embodiment, the stack separation mechanism moves in an alternating manner between retracted and extended positions to disengage and engage and insert the stack to separate (with its edge) paper therefrom to feed to the feed mechanism for shredding. The paper stack separation mechanism can move in an non-undulating manner relative to the stack. A device for stripping stapled pages, a pivotable support plate, and pressure plate can also be used, as well as a number of sensors.

  • Patent number: 8260255
Abstract: In an example method of configuring an adaptive module for an offline charging system, a selection is received which selects one of a plurality of charging functions. In an example, the selection is received in response to a user prompt. In another example, the plurality of charging functions includes a charging data function (CDF), a charging gateway function (CGF), an integrated CDF/CGF without Ga interface support and an integrated CDF/CGF with Ga interface support. An adaptive module is configured to conform with the selected charging function. The adaptive module has the capacity to conform to any one of the plurality of charging functions. For example, the adaptive module includes a number of program modules and the configuring step selects which of the program modules are enabled and an order in which the enabled program modules are to be executed. The configured adaptive module is executed at a physical entity (e.g., a CDF, a CGF, etc.) within the offline charging system.
