Abstract: A device for physiotherapy includes at least a seating surface and a back rest. The back rest is provided with arm holders positionable under a person's underarms. The back rest is also provided with powered apparatus to move the arm holders in a direction away from the seating surface, thereby to lift a person off the seating surface, and to return the person to the seating surface.

Abstract: A baler, comprising a compacting mechanism and a binding mechanism is provided. The compacting mechanism comprises a bearing plane against which cardboard is compressed. This baler includes a compacting mechanism and rope tightening mechanism. In using the baler of the invention, a cardboard compacting platform is pulled up towards the compacting bearing plane along a channel in a frame. The compacting platform is pulled up by mechanical force and dragged downwards by its weight. A rope clamp placed on each side of the rack combine with the rope retracting ratchet gear and other elements from a rope tightening mechanism to tie up the compacting cardboard.

Abstract: A cardboard baler compacts a bundle of material by drawing the cardboard upwardly towards a compacting bearing member supported by the frame of the baler. The baler is provided with a string, cord or rope tightening mechanism which relies on a hand-actuated ratchet-like mechanism to draw two portions of the rope towards each other so that the rope may be tied to secure a bundle of cardboard. The rope tightening mechanism is supported by the frame of the cardboard baler when it is in use.

Abstract: The invention provides a cardboard baling press cart of the manual operated type, used for baling loose cardboard. This baling press cart includes a two layer rack and a movable baling ram which moves horizontally back and forth in-between the front and back frame within the center space of the upper layer of the rack. The baling ram is moved by two struts, which are hinge jointed together. The lower strut is hinge jointed to the lower layer of the rack and the upper strut is attached to the bottom of the baling ram. A tension spring is attached under the baling ram to provide resilience to relocate the baling ram.
