  • Publication number: 20240051136
Abstract: A method of performing motion planning for a robot in a workspace discretized into workspace elements includes generating or receiving a first model and determining a first set comprising one or more workspace elements that are at least partially in collision with the first model for each of a plurality of states and the respective transition(s) between those states. A first mapping is generated including information regarding the first set and the respective states and transition(s). The method further includes generating or receiving a second model extending from the first model and determining a second set including one or more further workspace elements, additional to those in the first set, that are at least partially in collision with the second model for each of the plurality of states and transitions between those states. A second mapping including information regarding said second set and the respective states and transition(s) is generated.

  • Patent number: 8531916
Abstract: A human-machine interface system adapted to track movement of an object in air is disclosed. In one aspect, the human-machine interface includes an acoustic transmitter, an acoustic receiver, and logic configured to apply a calculated inverse matrix of an impulse signal transmitted by the acoustic transmitter to a signal received by the acoustic receiver, wherein movement of the object is used to control the machine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 5, 2012
Date of Patent: September 10, 2013
    Assignee: Elliptic Laboratories AS

  • Patent number: 8072842
Abstract: A method of estimating the impulse response of a channel is disclosed. The method includes transmitting an impulse signal to the channel, detecting a received signal from the channel at a receiver, and calculating an estimate of the impulse response of the channel by applying a calculated inverse matrix of the impulse signal to the received signal.
