  • Patent number: 8620403
Abstract: In a method for acquisition of magnetic resonance slice images of an examination subject of a patient by using a magnetic resonance apparatus having a control device controlling the image acquisition operation, wherein the slice images are acquired as slice image stacks situated in different planes in a field of view within a homogeneous magnetic field, wherein the control device determines the volume of the examination subject using an overview image exposure and, dependent on the determination result, at least one or more of the image acquisition parameters of slice thickness, slice interval, slice count and/or size of the field of view is adapted.

  • Patent number: 8126225
Abstract: A method is disclosed for generating 2D reconstruction images in the scope of image post-processing from a 3D image data set of a study object recorded particularly by use of a magnetic resonance device. In the method, the position of the 2D reconstruction layers in which the 2D reconstruction images lie is defined with the aid of layer position information which defines the position of individual 2D recording layers in which 2D layer images are recorded after recording the 3D image data set of the study object, or have already been recorded, and which is optionally stored in an operating mode for automatic layer position adaptation, or with the aid of layer position information defining 2D reconstruction layers which is stored in an operating mode for automatic layer position adaptation.

  • Publication number: 20090209843
Abstract: In a method to acquire image data sets with a magnetic resonance apparatus in the examination of a patient, and to generate post-processed images, in which different measurement protocols to acquire various image data sets are set manually and the image data sets are acquired, and all measurement protocols are stored in an examination-specific or patient-specific measurement protocol file. The processing parameter sets for post-processing of at least one part of the image data sets are set manually and the post-processed images are generated, and all processing parameter sets are stored in the examination-specific or patient-specific measurement protocol file. The measurement protocols stored in the measurement protocol file are automatically loaded and executed to acquire comparable image data sets in the implementation of a follow-up examination of the same patient.

  • Publication number: 20070016001
Abstract: In a medical examination device and method for the generation of examination images of an object, at least one setting value relevant for the examination can be set with at least one stored or manually entered item of the object specific and/or examination-specific information, and a table for support of the object to be examined is moved by a control system and in the course of the examination several examination images of adjacent or adjoining regions of the object are generated when the table is moved. The movement of the table is controlled by the control system with the assistance of the object-specific and or examination-specific information.

  • Publication number: 20050203379
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for improved evaluation of magnetic resonance images, in particular for detection and delineation of endangered brain tissue, a perfusion-weighted MR image and a diffusion-weighted MR image of the same body region are superimposed to form a mismatch image.
