  • Patent number: 9935298
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a battery cell case. The battery cell case includes a front case plate and a rear case plate which are separably coupled to each other. The structures of the front and rear case plates are symmetrical structures, so that the battery cell case can be easily assembled in such a way that the front and rear case plates are coupled to each other with the battery cell disposed therebetween and are fastened to each other by holders fitted over the opposite ends of the case plates. In another embodiment, the structures of the front and rear case plates may be asymmetrical structures so that the front and rear case plates can be coupled with each other in an insert coupling manner without using a separate tool or fastening means.

  • Patent number: 8785018
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a battery pack case. An upper cover, a lower support base and each side cover form at least one seating depression extending in a sideways direction. Each of the front and rear covers has band locking depressions at positions corresponding to the seating depressions. Each band locking depression has a shape corresponding to a related one of fixing bands. Each fixing band includes a band body which is made of rubber, fabric or plastic and extends a predetermined length in one direction, and a locking protrusion provided on each of opposite ends of the band body. The locking protrusion has a structure corresponding to a related one of the band locking depressions. The locking protrusions of the fixing bands are inserted into the corresponding band locking depressions, thus fastening the elements including the front cover and the rear cover together.

  • Publication number: 20120295136
Abstract: A battery pack, including a casing receiving a battery module, the battery module comprising a plurality of batteries, a first cooling unit installed in a surface of the casing and introducing a coolant into the casing; and a second cooling unit installed in an opposite surface of the casing and discharging the coolant introduced into the casing by the first cooling unit to the outside of the casing, thus causing the coolant to flow in the casing, wherein the batteries of the battery module are laminated in a predetermined direction inside the casing, with a space defined between the batteries so that the coolant can pass through the space between the batteries; and an end of the space of the battery module is open toward the first cooling unit and an opposite end of the space is open toward the second cooling unit.

  • Patent number: 7679867
Abstract: A magnetic flux coupling-type superconducting current limiter is capable of protecting lines more effectively by winding reactors of a primary coil and a secondary coil in series in the structure where the primary coil and the secondary coils are wound in parallel in the conventional magnetic flux-lock type current limiter to increase a linked flux generated from an iron core. An electric conducting current which rapidly increases when a fault occurs is divided into the secondary coil and a superconducting coil to decrease a load on the superconducting element and it is opened more rapidly than the existing superconducting current limiter during a quench time such that it better limits a fault current.
