  • Patent number: 8363718
Abstract: Where a quantized data value is produced by a first quantization of an input data value, followed by a first inverse quantization and subsequently by a second quantization and the first quantization has first quantization intervals and the second quantization has second quantization intervals, third quantization intervals are generated by displacing interval boundaries of the second quantization intervals, respectively, to the next interval boundaries of the first quantization intervals. A third reconstruction value is determined for the third quantization intervals such that the third reconstruction value lies within the associated third quantization intervals. A corrected data value is generated by a third inverse quantization of the quantized data value and the third inverse quantization is affirmed by the third quantization intervals containing the associated third reconstruction value.

  • Patent number: 8155203
Abstract: An input data stream coded using a first coding method and containing at least one coded digitized image is converted into an output data stream that is coded using a second coding method. The input data stream has first intra-blocks, each of which is coded in a first prediction mode of a plurality of first intra-prediction modes, and the output data stream has second intra-blocks, each of which is coded in a second prediction mode of a plurality of second intra-protection modes. The second prediction modes of one or more second intra-blocks are determined with the aid of the first prediction modes for one or more first intra-blocks and the second intra-blocks are coded using the second prediction modes that are thus determined. In particular, prediction errors that are assigned to the first intra-blocks are taken into consideration for the determination of the second prediction modes.

  • Patent number: 5064976
Abstract: A contact configuration, whose axially opposed contacts have a current-supplying stud, a cup-shaped contact carrier and a contact plate set up on the rim of the contact carrier, a support consisting of material with poor electrical conductivity being provided to mechanically stabilize the contact plate. The support forms a tubular supporting region and is located on a graduated circle whose diameter is at most equal to the diameter of the current-supplying stud. The diameter of the current-supplying stud thereby equals at least 50% of the external diameter of the contact carrier. The length of the support has a considerably smaller cross section in its middle than in its base and top region so that the ohmic resistance of the support is at least approximately one magnitude greater than the ohmic resistance of the contact carrier and contact plate.

  • Patent number: 4675482
Abstract: For generating an axial magnetic field over the contact surfaces in vacuum switching tubes, conductor loops which are constructed in a fashion similar to a spoked wheel are disposed following the contact members. In order to dimension such conductor loops with a low cross-section and in order to also be able to manufacture them in a simple fashion, it is proposed that the conductor loops contain at least approximately circular sector-shaped terminals, that these terminals merge into webs and that terminals following one another in circumferential direction are alternately connected electrically conductive in low-resistant fashion to the end face of a stud or to the terminal surface of a contact member.

  • Patent number: 4306129
Abstract: A low voltage contactor switch has three simultaneously actuated pairs of contacts each of which consists of a movable and a fixed contact, with contacting occurring in a single evacuated area within a vacuum tube for minimizing oxidation of the contact surfaces and thereby increasing contact life. The contacts are connected to terminals which extend through walls of the vacuum tube in air tight fashion with actuation of the movable contacts being undertaken with the use of an air-sealed bellows. Each contact pair may be individually isolated by a cylinder within the evacuated area surrounding each contact pair as well as by a Y-shaped plate dividing the evacuated area into three chambers.
