Patent number: 7451617Abstract: In order to create a refrigeration system comprising a refrigerant circuit (10), in which a main mass flow (56) of a refrigerant is guided, which may be adapted to different operating conditions in an optimum manner it is suggested that at least two refrigerant compressors (12a, 12b, 12c), which can be switched on individually for the purpose of compressing the main mass flow, be arranged in the refrigerant circuit, that at least two of the refrigerant compressors each have at least one additional compressor stage (70), that each of the additional compressor stages be able to be used optionally for the compression of refrigerant from the main mass flow or for the compression of refrigerant from the additional mass flow (86) and that a control (90) be provided, with which such a number of additional compressor stages for the compression of refrigerant from the additional mass flow can be switched on in a first operating mode as a function of the operation conditions that the expansion cooling device (24, 28) lType: GrantFiled: August 17, 2007Date of Patent: November 18, 2008Assignee: Bitzer Kuhlmaschinenbau GmbHInventors: Hermann Renz, Günter Dittrich

Publication number: 20060216176Abstract: Improvement for a refrigerant compressor comprising a compressor housing having at least two cylinder bores, pistons in the cylinder bores, a drive shaft chamber and a piston drive shaft in the drive shaft chamber such that this can operate with amounts of lubricant which are as small as possible, it is suggested that in the installed position of the refrigerant compressor the drive shaft chamber form a collection chamber for lubricant with an area which extends over only part of the extension of the drive shaft chamber and is located at the lowest point in the direction of gravity, that the drive shaft chamber have wall surfaces which adjoin the collection chamber and guide the lubricant accumulating in the drive shaft chamber to the collection chamber, and that a lubricant conveying device take up the lubricant from the collection chamber and convey it to lubrication points.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2006Publication date: September 28, 2006Applicant: Bitzer Kuehlmaschinenbau GmbHInventors: Per Kaczmarek, Eike Hildebrandt, Guenter Dittrich

Patent number: 6568921Abstract: To further optimize a refrigerant compressor, comprising a compressor housing, at least one cylinder chamber arranged in the compressor housing, a piston oscillatingly movable in the cylinder chamber, a suction chamber which is arranged upstream from the cylinder chamber and from which refrigerant enters the cylinder chamber, a pressure chamber which is arranged downstream from the cylinder chamber and into which refrigerant compressed in the cylinder chamber enters, a muffler channel which extends between a first end and a second end and via which compressed refrigerant flows from the pressure chamber into the outlet channel, with respect to the space requirement and the attenuation of pulsations, it is proposed that the muffler channel comprise an inlet opening located between the first end and the second end.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2001Date of Patent: May 27, 2003Assignee: Bitzer Kuehlmaschinenbau GmbHInventor: Guenter Dittrich

Patent number: 6475954Abstract: Disclosed is a solid formulation of the herbicidal active agent glyphosate [N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine] compressed into tablet form. It is applied in the agricultural and horticultural sectors to destroy unwanted vegetation. The solid formulation according to the invention consists essentially of free glyphosate acid, salifying agents (alkali or ammonium hydrogencarbonate or carbonate in conjunction with solid organic acids), biological activating agents and diluents. A suitably sized tablet can consequently be adapted to supply an appropriate dose of spray mixture per surface unit for small-scale users. Submerging in water causes the glyphosate to convert into a soluble salt. The resulting carbon dioxide facilitates rapid disintegration of the tablet.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2001Date of Patent: November 5, 2002Assignee: Schirm AGInventors: Bernd Hamroll, Günter Dittrich, Bernd Müller

Patent number: 6401472Abstract: In order to improve a refrigerant compressor apparatus comprising a drive motor, a compressor driven by the drive motor and having several cylinders arranged in a V shape and a compressor shaft bearing eccentrics for driving pistons operating in the respective cylinders in such a manner that as smooth a running as possible can be achieved at any desired V angle it is suggested that the cylinders be arranged at a V angle of less than 90°, that the compressor shaft be mounted with only two bearing sections thereof in corresponding compressor shaft bearings, that the eccentrics be arranged between the bearing sections and that a separate eccentric be provided for each piston and be arranged at a distance from the other, individual eccentrics for the respectively other pistons.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2000Date of Patent: June 11, 2002Assignee: Bitzer Kuehlmaschinenbau GmbHInventors: Volker Pollrich, Guenter Dittrich, Helmut Barowsky, Wolfgang Sandkoetter

Patent number: 6325175Abstract: In order to improve a compressor for refrigerant, comprising a housing, at least one refrigerant-compressing element arranged in the housing, a shaft which has a section extending in the housing and driving the refrigerant-compressing element, a section passing through a wall of the housing and a drive section projecting out of the housing as well as a sealing arrangement effective between the section of the shaft passing through the wall and the housing and having a slide ring seal and an outer sealing ring, between which an oil receiving chamber is arranged, from which oil can be discharged via an oil outlet, in such a manner that, on the one hand, as little oil as possible leaks out and, on the other hand, as good a shut-off as possible in relation to the entry of air can be achieved it is suggested that an oil collecting area of the oil receiving chamber communicate via a siphon arrangement with an ascending channel which leads to an outlet for the oil.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2000Date of Patent: December 4, 2001Assignee: Bitzer Kuehlmaschinenbau GmbHInventors: Guenter Dittrich, Volker Pollrich
