    Abstract: An ultrasound probe contains an ultrasound transducer arrangement that is formed with a plurality of transducer elements. The transducer elements are arranged next to one another in a row and they can be controlled with a time delay. The transmitting/receiving surfaces of the transducer elements are inclined relative to one another such that the angle of inclination between the transmitting/receiving surfaces of two transducer elements increases with the number of transducer elements located between the transducer elements. At least two of the incremental angles of inclination between each pair of adjacent transducer elements are different.
