  • Publication number: 20120031737
Abstract: The device for conveying objects in packaging machines has a first endless transport unit, which moves first driver elements; a second endless transport unit, which moves second driver elements; a motor-driven drive shaft, which drives the first endless transport unit; an auxiliary shaft, which drives the second endless transport unit; and a belt-type or chain-type connecting element for transmitting drive power from the drive shaft to the auxiliary shaft. The connecting element is guided between the drive shaft and the auxiliary shaft over a plurality of stationary auxiliary rollers and over at least two adjusting rollers, which can be shifted simultaneously in a direction perpendicular to their axes of rotation. The connecting element is guided in such a way that a shift of the adjusting rollers brings about a movement of the connecting element on the auxiliary shaft and thus a change in the angular position of the auxiliary shaft.

  • Publication number: 20110078981
Abstract: The device for the production of a packaging for pharmaceutical products includes a forming station for forming troughs in a nonstretchable cover sheet in a stepwise, individual, successive manner, and further includes a transport device for laying the formed cover sheet onto a bottom sheet. This bottom sheet has pockets, which serve to hold the pharmaceutical products, and webs arranged between the pockets, and at least portions of some of the webs have ridges corresponding to the shape of the troughs in the cover sheet. The device further includes a sealing station for sealing the cover sheet to the bottom sheet. This sealing station has two sealing plates shaped in correspondence with the troughs in the cover sheet, thus resulting in the sealing of the cover sheet to the bottom sheet also in the area of the ridges of the bottom sheet.

  • Patent number: 7684060
Abstract: In a sealing machine a pair of juxtaposed foils are sealed together at web regions having oppositely directed outer surfaces between a pair of dies, at least one of which is formed with an array of bumps that taper outwardly toward a respective one of the outer surfaces. The bumps press into the one outer surface and form therein permanent cavities of a predetermined imprint depth so as to bond together the foils at the web region. A quality of seal is determined by measuring after formation of the cavities surface features of the cavities at a level of the one outer surface of the respective foil, and calculating based on the measured surface features an imprint depth of the cavity.

  • Patent number: 7581298
Abstract: Sealing tools are used in a machine in which foils are guided between two sealing tools that on their sides facing the foil have bumps with uniform relative spacing T. Compensation for the tolerances between the sealing tools and the foils is achieved for a defined penetration depth of the bumps into the foil workpiece. The spacing T of the bumps is predetermined, and subsequently an experimental measurement of the force ?DS is carried out that is necessary for the defined penetration depth of a test body of known geometry into the foils. Then, and with use of the force ?d applied by the sealing machine that is determined as the quotient of the forces applied to the sealing tools per surface unit of measure of the sealing tools, the corrugated surface A required for the defined penetration depth is set based on the relation A=?d*T2/?Ds.
