Publication number: 20250144970Abstract: A cooling plate for the battery cooling of a motor vehicle has a plate body including two plate elements, joined together by soldering and at least one cooling channel for the passage of a cooling fluid as well as a stiffening molding. The cooling channel and the stiffening molding are initially formed together continuously during the manufacture of the plate body by forming a channel in a plate element, by internal high pressure forming. In the soldering process, a channel portion of the channel sealed fluid-tight by a closing element in the form of a press soldering joint. This separates the channel into a cooling channel and a stiffening molding.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2024Publication date: May 8, 2025Inventors: Tobias DUEPMEIER, Elmar GRUSSMANN, Jochem GREWE, Ulrich RUSCHE, Guenter FORTMEIER

Publication number: 20250121426Abstract: A motor vehicle component has two component parts made of steel with different wall thicknesses, which are arranged at an angle ? to one another and are connected by a weld seam. A joining surface at the end portion of the first component part has a bevel produced without cutting. In order to form the bevel, an end portion of an initial blank is formed without cutting. The end portion is then trimmed at the end and an abutment surface is created on the front side of the end portion. The two component parts are positioned relative to each other so that the joining surface of the first component part and the joining surface of the second component part face each other. The material-locking joining of the first component part and the second component part is achieved by a weld seam on the joining surfaces.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2024Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: Guenter FORTMEIER, Thomas HENKSMEIER, Norbert NIGGEMEYER, Erik SCHULTZ

Publication number: 20240288230Abstract: A heat exchanger plate which has a plate body formed from at least two plate elements and at least one connecting piece for a cooling fluid. Plate body and connecting piece are joined together using soldering. The connecting piece has a joining portion which is joined in a receiving portion of the plate body formed between the plate elements. A solder resist limits the flow of solder when producing the solder connection. The solder resist is able to be formed by a sealing metal, which is arranged on the joining portion of the connecting piece in front of and/behind a solder material applied to the joining portion. The solder resist is able to be formed by an annular bead resting on the end face of the receiving portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2024Publication date: August 29, 2024Inventors: Tobias DUEPMEIER, Elmar GRUSSMANN, Guenter FORTMEIER

Patent number: 12053833Abstract: A hot-forming die has a heatable lower die and a heatable upper die. The lower die and the upper die have spacer elements to permit flexing. A plate stack including two plate elements is inside the hot-forming die. The plate stack is on the spacer elements in the lower die. The lower die and the upper die are displaced relative to each other when the hot-forming die is closed. The spacer elements of the upper die come into contact with the plate stack. As the closing movement continues, the spacer elements, are displaced into the lower die and the upper die, respectively, and the plate stack is clamped between the lower die and the upper die. The plate stack is then heated by the lower die and the upper die and an internal pressure is applied to an intermediate space between the plate elements by feeding in an active medium.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2023Date of Patent: August 6, 2024Assignee: BENTELER AUTOMOBILTECHNIK GMBHInventors: Tobias Dupmeier, Guenter Fortmeier

Publication number: 20190291160Abstract: The invention relates to a method for machining a sheet-metal profile 1, wherein the sheet-metal profile 1 is trimmed in a multi-stage cutting process and a cutting edge 2 is produced. Here, pre-cutting is firstly performed on the sheet-metal profile 1, whereby a free space 3 is generated. Stamping of the sheet-metal profile 1 is subsequently performed, wherein the thickness d of the sheet-metal profile 1 along the cutting edge 2 to be produced is reduced. Subsequently, the cutting finishing of the sheet-metal profile 1 is performed, wherein, in particular, cutting is performed in the opposite direction to the stamping of the outline of the finished contour, and the cutting edge 2 is generated.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 13, 2019Publication date: September 26, 2019Inventors: Guenter FORTMEIER, Matthias KOERNER
